Hi all,

Just wanted to share that my Cyclone is already alive. It comes from a Cyclone 1 which I could never use due to a lack of time and because the Spindle holder printed in PLA broke twice.

I redesigned the Z_Carriage, based on the piece from Herb D-Punkt, but tried to put the Spindle as near to the axis as possible.

I attach a picture of the final machine (the workbed is still the Cyclone 1)

And this is the Spindle Holder attachment to reuse the Spindle I bought for the Cylclone 1 (and the power control board)

I could mill the open source logo in wood by using th JSCUT link successfully, thanks Carlos for this "hello world" :)

And my first PCB with SMD and through hole!:) I used the eagle PCB-2-Gcode plugin and tweaked the wrong G-Code.

Then leveled the bed using CNC-G-CODE-Controller and zeroing the Z on the copper. I used a 60º bit and a 1mm router bit.

This is the result: (just a female USB connector expander for the Cyclone)

By the way, I have a tachometer and measured the spindle speed. It goes from 0 to 10600rpm (at 48V).

Well, thanks everybody for all the help in the past!!

Happy milling!:)

Marc

Awesome build indeed Marc!
Thanks a lot for sharing the part through git. It looks very compact and robust!
