Since upgrading to Windows 7, I can't CC or BCC more than two
addresses. I have Eudora 7.1 Any help?

Thanks very much.

That's as good a reason as any
to go back to XP, isn't it? ;-)

Probably you mean that you can't "highlight" more than
two "disjoint" items at a time from your Address Book,
not that you can't send to as many addresses as you want.

This is caused by an element of Windows
that no longer functions as designed,
but there are several creative ways to bypass the problem:

Geez. Thanks very much for the information. I avoided Vista but so
far like 7 pretty well, once I turned off all the goofy animations and
such.

The Eudora Vista problem just carried over to Win 7. I went through the
Vista struggle and could have lived with only being able to select 2
addresses at a time but also suffered severe Eudora slowdown which no
solution offered worked and switched to Thunder Bird.

Vista otherwise took a lot of tweaking but is working fine today as MS
fixes gradually seemed to smooth everything out.

Yeah. You'd think Eudora would fix this. I'm sure they're aware of
it. Thunderbird is a good client and I'm sure many folks will switch
just because of this.

Eudora would fix the Windows problem?

The very flexibility of the Address Book in Eudora, however,
makes it trivially easy to bypass the Windows problem,
should one wish to.

Is anyone aware of the following, announced three years ago:

Thunderbird is what Eudora itself is switching to (see above);
however, trading in a BMW for a GMC, because of a lost cupholder,
is not a trade I would make myself :)

Just checking into old Eudora, I found I made switch nearly a year ago.
I'm fairly certain you had offered me work arounds at the time and I
tried everything without solution. What kicked me over to TB was the
inability to type fast enough, i.e. waiting for typed characters to
appear. Prior to Vista, I had used Eudora for at least a dozen years
and hated to leave an old friend.

Did you ever get info from or ask Katrina for help?

Anyone else have this problem? Speak up!

Can't recall specifically but I think so. I had many responses from
group and tried what I could.

Katrina does not seem to have posted in this group
since January 2007.

She is currently participating, re Eudora,
only in a "listmoms" mailing list for Windows Eudora,
where she is herself currently one of the "ListMoms"

http://www.listmoms.net/

Now that this has been mentioned,
I expect no one will be looking here any more,
and the volume of traffic at "listmoms" will triple :)

Fishing? :-) I expect you know how helpful you are but you can never
have too many compliments.

My rating? Helpful and entertaining!
Cheers

I second Patricia. I will keep monitoring this group, and hope that
interesting solutions from Listmoms for Eudora will be reposted here!

Name had just sounded familiar and wondering if I bumped into her in
another group like Gateway. At any rate, it is always great to get
computer help.
