Open positions: Reconstruction and Computational Modelling for Inherited Metabolic Diseases

Dear All,

I will be coordinating a new 11 million euro, 4 year, Horizon Europe/UK/Swiss project entitled "Reconstruction and Computational Modelling for Inherited Metabolic Diseases", which aims to start in June. Prof. Ines Thiele is also a PI on it. It involves 14 organisations and a further 20 healthcare providers that are focussed on clinical recruitment, in collaboration with https://metab.ern-net.eu/. A variety of PhD, Postdoc and Clinical Fellow positions are currently open, or shall be opening shortly, as outlined here:

In the first instance, please send your c.v. to recruit....@gmail.com with a one paragraph letter of motivation that indicates the work-package and task(s) below that match your interests and experience. Formal applications at the corresponding institutions may subsequently be solicited.

In particular, Prof Thiele and I are recruiting at the moment for candidates in the following areas:

Prediction of metabolic biomarkers using whole-body metabolic modelling
Prediction of causal genes by personalised whole-body metabolic modelling

Recon4: Reconstruction of human metabolic pathways (esp pathways in lipid metabolism and those of relevance for Inherited Metabolic Diseases)

Development of enhanced sex-specific, whole-body metabolic models
