Scullers
The City is planning to tear down Natural High Buildling starting May 1. We want to move the racks and boat equipment this next weekend. I have regatta commitments Saturday morning the 1st, but will take off for Lake County right after so we can work on Sunday Aug 2nd and Monday Aug 3.
We are moving to the city property next door temporarily and the city had kindly offered to set up fence for us, which is amazing.
Please respond to me if and when you are available. If not available that weekend there might be some follow up chores that can be done.
I haven't set a time yet, it'll depend upon when most are available Here's how I think it will go:
1. take shells out of current yard off main rack and put in slings. Take down rack. Be moving oars and sculls and other equipment out of boxes and staging outside new yard area.
2. Reassemble rack in new spot, put big boats in racks
3. repeat with side racks
4. move oar boxes, reload oars into boxes. This is a potentially dangerous project, I wonder if we might use a forklift of some sort with trucker straps. We moved these last time with truck and flatbed trailer, but not clear there's enough room to do this with the construction going on.
We've done this before, anyone remember how long it took? Seemed to me it took 4 hours.
