Of course I can't be there but I 100 pct concur with Carol that a good showing for us is essential.

My long term vision for the county is that there is a primary rowing club in Lakeport and satellite seasonal  boat yards in City of Clearlake (Austin Park)  and in Nice/Lucerne at one of the lakeside parks

Clear Lake Scullers mission has been educational,  teach water access that requires a learning discipline in a variety of boats,  not just rowing.    We don't intend to replace vendors who want to rent out standups or floaty kayaks,  as this doesn't require the level of teaching that rowing and flatwater paddling does.   We also have historically used the club as a focus for teaching water safety in the lake for middle and high school students.  

at one point,  there was mention of including us as part of a lake water trail system,  but the goals of that were somewhat unclear to me.  

We have a history of high school and middle school programs.   There are some young adults in leadership in the county now who've been in the program.
