I thought you might be interested in the latest newsletter from my team.   Include some video of a couple of my crews racing.  

I coach the varsity men.     

We'll be in Sacramento this weekend racing in our west coast championships.    We don't have the horses to win it this year,  but guys are working really hard and very well as a team,  great bunch to have the opportunity to coach.

WIRA championship regatta weekend June 29-30

Friends of UCI Rowing  WIRA Championships                  WIRA Championships this weekend April 29,30 at Lake Natoma.    TRC WIRA Live Stream click here UCI Men's and Women's teams are headed for Lake Natoma  in Rancho Cordoba this weekend April 29,30     We'll arrive Friday afternoon to rig and row,  race heats on Saturday and Finals on Sunday.  Regatta Central has complete information on the regatta,  you can see the heat draws,  results,  directions to the course. Directions to Sac State Aquatic Center: Directions & Hours - Sac State Aquatic Center Regatta Info:   Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships - Regatta Schedule (regattacentral.com)   Finish Line Tent Friends of UCI Rowing have secured a regatta tent for the finish line for the team, friends, and family.    Mrs Hendricks is planning to prepare dinner for the team and friends on Saturday afternoon/eveing  following the heats.  If you'd like to help the Hendricks or help with snacks on Saturday morning or Sunday morning,  please contact Mike Sullivan at suls...@yahoo.com and I'll put yhou  in touch WIRA Watch Party in Manhattan NYC Manhattan location TBD,  noon on Sunday April 30 Contact Jeff Draper (draperj at gmail.com ) Collins Cup     April  15 Men's varsity eight in a dogfight wwith OCC with 800 to go.   Collins Cup Race Video UCI and OCC  matched up for the annual Collins Cup duel.  UCI won both men's and womne's V8 events last year in strong fashion,  OCC returned the favor this year.  The race of the day was the men's V8.    OCC had previously beat us by a whopping 11 seconds in the Newport Regatta.   As the guys have been applying the lessons they've learned to race pace,  we made up the difference losing by a hair.   The finsih fllag couldn't swing fast enough so the results don't iondicate how close the race was.   See the race videos above,  the men's V8 at 3:19 and women's V8 soon after.   See results here: ClockCaster - Results: Collins Cup 4/15/2023   Women's V8 zt 1200 looking clean and smooth.     Donate Today Know someone who would enjoy the content of this email?  Help us expand our reach to Alumni and Friends of the program!
