Welcome to the CloudCamp organizers forum. 

1) The first thing I suggest you do is add your name to the list so that others in your area know to connect with you: http://groups.google.com/group/cloudcamp/web/cloudcamp-city-organizers

I think you already added your name under CANADA / Montreal 

2) The 2nd thing I suggest you do is locate a free venue with a main room that can hold at least 150 people, plus some smaller break-out rooms. 

Once you do that, we should schedule a call with anyone else who wants to help organize (such as Alistair and Revuen).

Again, welcome. I look forward to putting on the first CloudCamp in Montreal!

I just got off the phone with Sam organizing CloudCamp Paris.

Here's where we are now:

Venue
Sam will be taking care of the venue. He has a few leads but doesn't speak French so he might need help.

Sponsors
I'll search for local sponsors to add to the global CloudCamp ones. Depending on the venue we find (free or not), we might need more than one or two for catering. Please contact your network if you know people that would be interested in sponsoring.

Sessions
We'll use the open space format as usual, but have to make sure we have enough speakers to guarantee a variety of topics in French and in English. If you would like to speak, please reply and mention what language (no need for a topic yet, just yes + language).

We still need manpower; if anyone wants to help us, please contact us.

We apparently now have around 100 registrations (with 2 weeks to go) and 3 remaining slots for sponsors @ €250 for mentions on the site and at the event or €500 for that plus a lightning talk. All moneys raised will be spent on the event, around €2,000 of which is already budgeted for catering and getting Dave there.

If you're in any way involved in cloud computing in France this is a great opportunity to get your name out there for a few hundred euros.
