Hi, all,
I am very new to circos plot.  As I read the paper and the tutorial files, one question raised to me:  One circus plot can only show the whole genome of one person, right?  Is there any way to show them by group, or more people?  Thanks!

Best,
Yanwen

The only limit of the plot is that for a given angle, you can have at most one genomic position.

You can show data for multiple patients by stacking the data tracks, like this

You can also show several genomes at the same time, like this image

where in each panel two Arabidopsis genomes are shown (each has its own set of ideograms) and compared.

If your patient data fits into a position/value format, then stacking the tracks makes most sense. Comparing across patients will be easy.

Thanks Martin!
For the first circos plot (circos-sample-51), the outer ring might be the gene expression; the inner rings are CNV and LOH.?  The gene expression is for one person, right?  The CNV and LOH are for 2 persons??  The delta is the difference for these two persons?  Did I understand right?  Thanks!

The image is for the same patient, but different samples from that patient.

You could just as well have multiple patients, or multiple samples for multiple patients.

Organizing the information in the image that allows for convenient comparison is the big challenge!
