Hello,

I am facing an issue while retrieving "Description" attribute in documentReference resource.
When I try to post a description in documentReference resource for a pateint, I can successfully post it. But when I try to retrieve the documentReference data for same patient I am not getting description attribute back. Why I am not able to retrieve Description attribute for the patient via Documentreference resource. Please help me out.

Thanks in advance

Hello Fenil,

Thanks for the reply. But in documentReference resource under hl7, we can see Description attribute then why is it does not allow to add description?

Please check this link and the attachment as well.

Cerner's FHIR implementation does not have this attribute available to use. The only supported attributes are listed here - http://fhir.cerner.com/millennium/r4/foundation/documents/document-reference/#body-fields

Hello Fenil,

Is "Description" attribute not available only in Sandbox environment or it's not available in live production environment as well?
Means will I Get "Description" attribute data for documentReference Resource in Production environment or it won't be available there as well?

Thanks in Advance

It's not available for Cerner's implementation of FHIR.

Thanks Fenil for the reply.
There are questions I have, please let me know your comments on that-

We are working on building a SMART on FHIR application. For this, we are facing lot of troubles in getting desired Test data from code.cerner FHIR APIs

We basically need to retrieve following data for patients:
  1. Patient Information
  2. Patient Consent (DNR Particularly)
  3. Clinical Notes
  4. Observations & Lab Results
  5. Diagnostic Reports (Imaging data like X-Ray, ECG, EF etc)
  6. Allergies
On code.cerner we have very limited patients available with very limited data points.

Can you suggest any way on how we can get all desired data points for single patient? Is there any tool available to generate & load desired test data for patients on code.cerner. (Either Paid or Open source)

Please guide us to overcome this burning data problem for us.

Thanks in Advance

Thanks for the reply Fenil, but how can we create a patient without Access Token?
And access tokens are generated individually for a every patient, so is there any way to create a new patient either without Access token or with any global access token which can be used
for all the patients. Please let us know.

Thanks in advance

Access tokens can also be used to write back data. If you have patient.write scope available within your App, then you can create new Patient.
