A Question about Extended Mutation Data and MSKCC Mutation Data

Hi,

I downloaded the data for Lung Adenocarcinoma (Broad, Cell 2012). Would you please tell me the difference between data_mutations_extended.txt and data_mutations_mskcc.txt? I found that those files have almost the same size and same content.

Hi Tianying,

The difference between the two MAFs is the isoform with which they were annotated with using Genome Nexus. data_mutations_extended.txt is annotated with UniProt isoforms and data_mutations_mskcc.txt is annotated with MSKCC isoforms.

May I ask another question? I used "lung" as a key word and obtained 16 datasets (please see the screenshot below). Are these mutation data sets somatic mutation or germline mutation?
