Namaste All

Happy to announce my new book :- Geography of Rāmāyaṇa, the second in the trilogy of geography books, to be followed up by the 3rd book Geography of Mahābhārata to be released in few months. Geography of Rāmāyaṇa It is a continuity from the previous book on the Geography of Ṛgveda, titled the Rivers of Ṛgveda. With these three books, the new unified geochronology of the Vedic and Aitihāsic Periods will be outlined.
The book parses through the Critical Edition of Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa (VRM-CE) at two levels. The first high level analysis passes through 606 Sargas without leaving any Sarga. Thus the whole Rāmāyaṇa is part of the book. Every rare incident in Rāma's life and every obscure, rare, less known, least famous passage in Rāmāyaṇa known to very few people - those too are analyzed and revealed to the reader.
The second level of detailing parses through all the 18,670 Ślokas in VRM-CE and focuses deeply on the geography verses, containing the geography data like places, cities, towns, villages, janapadas, rivers, lakes, mountains and forests. It mentions Marubhumi (desert) and camels too. The book contains 80 geography maps and 19 data tables capturing the entire geographical data in Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa. It has 226 footnotes connecting the insights with the Saṃskṛtam Ślokas of the source texts. The gradual, stage by stage, transformation of the Ṛgvedic Geography into the Aitihāsic Geography is captured in the book. The book notes dozens of interconnections between Ṛgveda, Rāmāyaṇa and Mahābhārata. It also refers to the Brāhmaṇas, Āraṇyakas, Upaniṣads and Purāṇas to substantiate inferences.
