Hi,

A friend of mine is looking to set up a Coder Dojo chapter in Brighton.  I mentioned the Hackerspace and Young Rewired State as places/orgs where he'd likely find local peeps who'd have some affinity with that idea.  I can't post to the BB group, but I know there are some peeps from both BB and YRS it on this raspi list.

Any suggestions as to who (could it be you...?) he could/should talk to about it? People he should join forces with?

Hey hey Mighty Git,

Can you get him to email in...@buildbrighton.com with more of the details? It's the sort of thing that we'd be up for supporting most likely, if we can ensure that there's a member willing to help host it on a quiet night.

Feel free to talk about YRS involvement in that email too -- Emma Sullivan is one of the folk that listen to info@bb and helps org YRS Brighton.

Mike

Get your friend to drop me a line and I can put him in touch with a few people who might be interested in helping out. They will probably have venue suggestions too. I'm guessing they will be following the traditional model and looking to hold the dojo on the weekend to make it easier for the younger kids to attend.

Neil.

In terms of getting people on board,  the dotBrighton maillist would also be a good place to try.
