small world sometimes.
i have recently been 'studying' this bulletproof guy, a couple weeks prior to this post.
his site introduced me to Ghee which i purchased from amazon and also MCT (i dont use his brand, i use NOW foods)......supposedly a healthy fat.
i guess he was some obese guy who now is in great shape and goes all over the place giving speeches and making lots of money.
he seems to take this 'paleo' diet to the EXTREME, which i am still on the fence about.
I do believe that 'grains' and products based on grains are probably unhealthy for many of us in the amounts recommended, process level, etc.
and i am also worried about bpa in canned products.
but he really gets into omega 6 content of grain-based meat sources, which basically is 99% of American sources, and how unhealthy it is (with hormones plus the fact they are grain fed).
supposedly there should be an omega 6 to omega 3 diet ratio of 2 to 1, but the typical american diet is like 20 to 1, and this is contributory to inflammation.......which is linked to diabetes, arterial disease etc
i feel there may be some truth to what he is sharing, but not to the extremes he is suggesting.
His site did introduce me to the kettlebell swing idea, which I have recently been preparing for, but being trained by a functional movement specialist who is trained in the russian kettlebell technique has been proven to be slow/laborious, albeit advised at my age.
just thought i would share this coincidence since i recently was studying his site, products, 'ideas', etc.
and i dont like coincidences either.
