Hi Hannah,

Have you tried the SaveImage node? It has a simpler functionality but it should allow you to save individual images. I wonder if you get the same problem with this one.

Hope this helps.

I have a separate Bonsai program successfully running motion tracking and video saving, but am having trouble with a very basic task: How does one save a single image? I've tried both ImageWriter with various extensions (jpg, png, tiff) and VideoWriter (FourCC: DIB, FileName: D:\test%03d.tiff).  In all cases I get the error "FILE_WRITE_OPEN_ERROR."  I've made sure there is no file there already and set Overwrite: true. Any ideas?

The simple program is attached. (Its purpose is to save a single background frame, to subtract out from ongoing video later).

Thanks!

Hi Goncaclo,

I'm sorry to bother you, I realized my mistake after posting -- I had forgotten to correctly specify the IDS camera initialization file, and for some reason the error message initially pointed me in the wrong direction. When I used the right .ini file (as per my other posted question), saving the single image worked with either option.

Thanks again!

Hannah
