Hi guys,

I wanted to record sound from a microphone by AudioCapture node. But any device doesn't show up in the DeviceName property of AudioCapture. The microphone was plugged in at Mic In of the rear panel of the PC, and was immediately auto-detected by Realtek HD Audio Manager. Does anyone know what is the problem? Thank you in advance.

Best,
Kensaku

When I tried to run AudioCapture with DeviceName empty. Bonsai said "openal32.dll". Is this expected?

Hi!
Try to connect the microphone before opening bonsai.

Thank you, João!

But it didn't work. I had the same thing in another PC of the same hardware. It might be hardware-specific issues. I am going to use a different PC.

Best,
Kensaku

Hi Kensaku,

If you open the "Recording devices" dialog in Windows, is the microphone listed there? All devices listed should show up in Bonsai, unless something weird is happening, but I have never seen this issue before.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you.

Hi Gonçalo,

Yes, it is listed in the Recording devices. But not show up in Bonsai. It is reproducible in another computer of the same hardware spec. It must be very weird hardware-related stuff. Thanks a lot for your help, but please don't waste your time.

Best,
Kensaku
