Hello Meng,

I am working on bacterial genomics. The bacterium that I work on is clonally propagated. Will BLINK be a right tool to carry out GWAS on this bacteria. I have a total of 85 strains that are phenotyped.
Where can I find find the usage of BLINK and can it be used on a cluster since I work on university cluster through SSH client server?

Your response will be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for asking.

If your marker is SNP, I think BLINK could handle it. If you don't have SNP map information, it is Ok, but you need to create 'fake' map file that could give BLINK the name of each SNP for output file.

The usage and executable file of BLINK could be found at zzlab.net/blink
You could download linux version to your university server and give BLINK root right (chmod 777 blink_linux) or contact your IT technician to give blink root right if your are not administer.
