No it doesn't really do anything but adding notebooks as right arrow children to Evernote. The next step will probably be to add actions to notebooks, allowing you to open/show, search and other stuff I haven't thought of yet.I'm really glad that there are people interested in this. Let me know if you have anything special you'd like to see implemented and I'll try to look at it.One thing I should say is that in the foreseeable future the plugin will require Evernote to be running in order to use it. I briefly looked at using Evernote's raw data but that seemed too much of a hassle. I might build something that uses Evernote's API in the future, though, but first I'd like to get some functionality for the running app.// Andreas
I was able compile it just fine, just not sure if it does anything yet :).

I noticed this as well, and while I'm on medical leave I was going to try compiling it. So I'm looking forward to it as well!!--Mark--

Does it do anything yet that I can test out for you :)?

Unless someone wants to take up the project, it's unfortunately going to be a while until I can get around to continue the development. Now that I know there's some interest, I'll try to squeeze in a coding spree as soon as I can, though, hopefully after Christmas.

I see I'm resurrecting a rather old thread here, but I just want to voice my wholehearted interest in this project. Andreas, I'd LOVE to see all of your plans for this come to fruition! Please, when you have time, continue to develop this! We seriously need a happy Evernote-QS marriage.

Not sure if this is the most up to date documentation but it seems to have some info on how to use it:

For some reason, using > or / having got Evernote in the first pane did nothing for me. I then got Evernote.app in the first pane, tabbed to the second pane, typed 'Search', tabbed to the third pane, typed 'tim' and hit the <enter> key. Evernote opened my 'tim' notebook.Since that time, I can type 'evernote' in the first pane (or an abbreviation of it, obviously) and then either > or / and a list of all my Evernote notebooks appear in the list with the reveal action in the second pane.
No, Evernote wasn't started - only had its icon in the menu bar. So... that'll be why then - thanks. I've quit Evernote now - still got its icon in the menu bar - and QS doesn't show any of my notebooks. Is there a way to get QS to permanently catalog my notebooks and tags?

Sure - I've got Notebooks and Tags both checked but still need Evernote.app to be launched for the children to show. I presume there's no way to do that without Evernote having been launched first, Andeas?

Ah, the notebooks and tags haven't been indexed yet. Start Evernote, and click the refresh arrow on the bottom right of the preferences window. Then you should have something that looks like this:

Notice the number 15, that means that QS has 15 notebooks indexed. In your case, you don't have anything indexed. It's on my roadmap for 1.1 to automatically index Evernote when it starts.
