<Urgent and Important>Give a new lease of life to a 9 yr old boy

This is a very shocking case. The amount as of now is expected to be two lakhs only. Let us join hands and give a new lease of life to this boy.

 

Please look at the photo of the boy and I am sure you cannot say NO.

 

Usually I try not to send health related mails as I know most of our members do not appreciate. Also when the amount required is huge like more than 7 lakhs and related to bone marrow transplantation, I know that we cannot address a single case, leave alone all requests that come to us.

 

In fact, I thought of dropping a mail to Pavan (our Blr Chapter coordinator) asking him not to send such mails as it would be very difficult to raise funds. But after one accidental glance on the photo, I decided to consider this as a top priority and work on it. These days I am not accepting any new task owing to the work on my hand, but decided to be an active volunteer for this case.

 

Friends, please do come forward specially when doctors say that there is every chance of cure with the surgery.

I forwarded the earlier Dr Prescriptions from Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad and Chennai Cancer Institute to Dr.Dayanand (Cardiologist, Narayana Hrudayalaya). He forwarded to Dr.Anuradha Rao (Dermatologist, NH Hospitals), she asked me to bring that boy last Thursday. Due to lack of time, Bhargav came yester day for consultation. I accompanied him. We consulted Dr.Anuradha Rao and Dr.Moni (Head of Oncology-Head & Neck Surgery). Dr.Moni said that it is curable and need to be operated asap. They will use the skin from his thigh for operation. I did not get a chance to talk to Dr.Moni regarding operation because he was planning to leave to Kochi. He will be back on Tuesday. As per his assistants, the cost of operation may be around Rs. 2 Lakhs. I will talk to Dr. Moni and request for concession.

 Please consider this as high priority case and forward this to ur friends for contributions.

I only put my personal money for Dr consultation and medicines.

Coming to Siva Subramani, forwarded to two of my friends who work in
Wipro, Bangalore. Let us see if some amount can be raised in Wipro.

Dealing with medical cases is not easy. If we consider our TMAD
itself, it is very tiring to raise funds in lakhs every now and then.
So a sort of taking only heart or kidney cases. Bhargav's is an
exception owing to the urgency and desperation. In a sense, Praveen is
also exception.

Addressing blood cancer cases that require huge amounts is very
difficult.

Earlier, Dr. Hemanth has shared lot of useful information about
Patient Support Groups and all. You can search BosF for the details.
We badly need a medical team to consolidate all that info. and to
consistently work on forming Patient Support Groups and establishing
contacts with already existing groups for each major disease specially
Cancer cases.

As you stay in Pune, let me know if you would like to do this
coordination online till we form a team here in Hyderabad.

We will be meeting the doctor again on Monday and will be discussing with him the joining date, concession on hospital charges, Date to pay the initial amount (which comes after discussion), Date to pay the rest of the amount (after negotiating the total amount) etc..

Hi All,

Bhargav came to Mazumdar Shaw Cancer Hospital to join for operation. I accompanied him yesterday, came to office at 8 PM, so unable to update u all. He underwent Blood and Urine test, CT scan, ECG etc to assess his fitness. As he has some infection in nose, Doctors advised medication for 1 week. Due to un availability of Senior Surgeon Dr. Moni from next Monday onwards, Bhargav has to revisit on April 5^th.

We only supported for all these tests (Rs. 5515). Bhargav left home today. They will send all the documents tomorrow to me, then I will share with u.

Hi Team,

Attached the photos.

The boy's nose tumor has been removed. Couple of sutures has to be removed next week.

The eye related cancer has to be operated depending on availability of membrane  which will be taken from the pregnant women. As of now, the membranes are exhausted. Next week, they may get delivery cases and so planning to get membranes for his operation. These membranes will be used and replaced with the existing ones of the boy which are cancerous.

They will be in bangalore till next week.

Note: I am putting the medical info as a layman. Also, lighting was a problem while taking photos as my cam doesnt have flash and boy cannot stand in sunlight. So, the photos may not be very clear.
