Hi Krishna,

You have to compile your own chrome extension as explained here :

https://github.com/bigbluebutton/screenshare-chrome-extension

By default Google Chrome does not allow sharing of your computer screen. In order for the WebRTC Screenshare to work in BigBlueButton on Google Chrome, you need to whitelist your domain(s). This way Google Chrome will permit sharing your screen.

Otherwise you can upgrade to the last version of BBB (2.2) and use a recent chrome browser and you will not need to use this extension, you will be able to share your screen directly.

Best regards

Hi Krishna,

Recommend you check out BigBlueButton 2.2-beta, which if your are using Chrome 72 (or later), doesn't require an extension anymore.  See

Hi KRISHNA,

After you create a meeting (using the 'create' API call), if no one enters, the server will clear the meeting after 5 minutes.  Once everyone leaves, the meeting will be automatically cleared after about one minute of inactivity.

To avoid this, you can always call 'create' before each 'join'.  The 'create' call is idempotent: the first time it will actually create the meeting (if needed), and any subsequent calls will return SUCCESS without side effects.

This way, you don't need to have your front-end remember when the meeting was created.  You simply create it as users join.  The first user will trigger the actual creation of the meeting, and there is no side effect for subsequent 'create' calls.

If users leave and, after 5 minutes, someone rejoins -- there will be a new meeting.  This is by design.  The BigBlueButton server does not store content between sessions.   Each session starts with a clean slate.

Regards,... Fred
