I recently updated my BBB-1.0.0 server by doing the following:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

After restarting the server and issuing the --debug command I get the following:

-- Errors found in /var/log/nginx/error.log --
2016/06/04 20:41:50 [error] 9377#0: *144 open() "/var/www/bigbluebutton-default/html5client/check" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: my_client_IP, server: my server.com, request: "GET /html5client/check HTTP/1.1", host: "my server.com", referrer: "https://myserver.com/conference/"

When I try to enter into the conference I get the following errors:

Error 1005: Call ended unexpectedly
Error 1010: ICE negotiation timeout

Please advise,
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

A few questions.

1. Have you made any changes to configuration files (other than using bbb-conf).  An example would be setting up BigBlueButton to use HTTPS (if so, you need to double-check the configuration changes are still in place after upgrade)?

2. Try opening up BigBlueButton in private browsing or incognito using FireFox or Chrome

3.  The errors you are getting are WebRTC, try opening up BigBlueButton using Safari or IE (neither has support for WebRTC) and let us know if it connects to audio (this will indicate whether FreeSWITCH is accepting audio connections).

4.  Double-check that you did

  sudo bbb-conf --enablewebrtc

as per the instructions.

Let us know the results for trying the above.

Regards,... Fred

Paul, what OS, Browser version are you using.

I got this 1005, 1010 error last week, rebooted my edge router, and pc, and it seemed to clear it up.
I'm on Win7 52.0.2743.24 beta-m (64-bit), this morning started happening again.

It happens on demo.bigbluebutton.org and a bunch of other servers as well.
I have rebooted pc/router, disabled firewall/antivirus, and used incognito to no avail still have the issue.

Capturing the web console. I see
User-Agent: FreeSWITCH-mod_sofia/1.4.21+git~20150826T145759Z~87a059bafc~64bit
Allow: INVITE, ACK, BYE, CANCEL, OPTIONS, MESSAGE, INFO, UPDATE, REGISTER, REFER, NOTIFY
Supported: timer, path, replaces
Reason: Q.850;cause=27;text="DESTINATION_OUT_OF_ORDER"
Content-Length: 0

Going to install the chrome standard browser to see if its something to do with "beta" chrome

regards,
Stephen

Point to note,  chrome connects up to freeswitch thru mod_verto on freeswitch demo server no problems.  SO underlying chrome webrtc on client working.

Stephen,

I am still having the same problem with Chrome.  I am running version: Version 53.0.2785.101 m (64-bit)

Any other instances of this happening with others?
I really would like to get to the bottom of this  ....

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I just tried with Chrome Version 53.0.2785.101 (64-bit) on

and was able to connect to the audio.  Can you try the above and let us know the results.

hi Fred,

It works with your demo site?  So why would this stop working on my server?

Hi Paul,

>  So why would this stop working on my server?

Can you share more details about your server.  You want to check

1.  Is it running using HTTS?  Chrome will not use WebRTC on a non-HTTPS server, see

2.  Have you updated to libssl1.0.2?  See

I'm referencing discussions in this forum for more details, but these are also covered in the installation documentation.  See

Hi Fred,

To answer your questions:

1) My BBB server is running HTTPS.  I check all the configuration file and it is configured correctly.

2) Not sure if I updated to libssl 1.0.2.....   How do I find out what version is installed on my server?

Is this how I would update it (see below)?

$ sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ondrej/php
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libssl1.0.2

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I'll refer to the docs on upgrading your 1.0 server

which gives the reference steps to upgrade to libssl1.0.2.

OKay...

I found out that that is package was never installed.   I installed it and did the BBB upgrade.
Now when I go to setup my Microphone in Chrome, I get error 1002.

Hi Paul,

Check out

for error 1002.  Can you double-check you've made all the setting changes for setting up HTTPS.  This error occurs when your browser is unable to make a web sockets connection to FreeSWITCH.

Thanks Fred,

I found four files that were overwritten (see below): I had a backup fortunately.

/opt/freeswitch/conf/autoload_configs/acl.xml
/opt/freeswitch/conf/dailplan/public.xml
/opt/freeswitch/conf/dailplan/default.xml
/opt/freeswitch/conf/sip_profiles/external.xml

Everything is working now,
Thanks,

Paul
