    साथियों ,
    समस्या गंभीर है ! पर उपाय भी होंगे !
     
    एक तो यह भी है के हमें सदस्य बनाने से कोई नहीं रोक सकता , हम अपनी मेहनत तो
    करते चलते है !
     
    इसके अलावा , उन सभी लोगों को इकठ्ठा करें , अपने संगठन के अन्दर ही , जो इस
    प्रकार की कठिनाइयों से झूझ रहे है ! और सब लोग मिलकर उपाय सोचें और स्वामी जी
    को अवगत करायें ! जब सारे उत्साहित और इच्छुक व्यक्ति एक दुसरे के निकट आयेंगे
    तो सबका उत्साह और बढेगा !
     
    हमारे आन्दोलन के अन्दर व्यवस्था की कुछ कमी है पर वेह जायज भी है , क्यूंकि
    इतने सारे लोगों का एक साथ जुड़ना , इतनी जगह पर एक साथ कार्य करना , स्वामी जी
    ने अभी तो सबको अपने पर छोड़ा है , परन्तु वेह दिन दूर नहीं के सबकी कमर कसेंगे
    ! क्यूँ न हम लोग स्वामीजी की मदद करें संगठन को आयोजित करने में , अपने अपने
    प्रान्तों में !
    सभी लोगों का मिल कर जो निर्णय होगा वो सबको कबूल होगा !
     
    येदी आंकडें देखें तो , , पतंजलि चिकित्सालयों में रोज़ आने वाले लोगों की
    संख्या इतनी है के सदस्य बहुत जल्दी बन सकते है और हाँ बिगड़ भी सकते है !
    हमें चाहिए के हम लोग अपने नजदीकी पतंजलि चिकित्सालयों में जाकर बैठे और आने
    वाले लोगों को भारत स्वाभिमान आन्दोलन से अवगत करवाएं , हाँ इसके लिए स्वामी जी
    से आदेश लेना होगा !

    पांडे जी की बात तो सही है लेकिन ऐसी चीजे तो हर अच्छे संगठन में देखि गयी है
    लेकिन जब अच्छे विचारो वाले एवं सत्य की रह पर चलने वाले बहोत सरे लोग इकठा हो
    जाते हैं तो ऐसे बुरे लोग अपने आप बहार हो जायेंगे. हमें बस विश्वास रखना है और
    धेय की ओर निरंतर चलना है. विजय मोहन जी ने ठीक कहा की समस्या गंभीर है ! पर
    उपाय भी होंगे ! जरुर उपाय तो है. हमारे पुरखो ने कर के दिखाया तो हम क्यों
    नहीं कर पायंगे.
    स्वामीजी हमेशा कहते हैं. स्वतंत्रता के बाद हमें दो चीजे मिली, एक तो खुलकर
    बोलने की आज़ादी ओर दूसरी मतदान करने की. अंग्रेजो के ज़माने में तो अच्छे लोग
    भूमिगत रह के भी संघटन चलते थे ओर वो भी बड़े अच्छे तरीके से. उनको भी ऐसी
    मुश्किलें जरुर आती होंगी. तो जब उन हालातो में वो हरे नहीं तो हम अब क्यों
    नकारार्थी सोचे?
     
    हमे थोडा निडर बनके सामने आना होगा... जैसे आप आये... अब संपर्क बहुत अच्छा हो
    गया हैं.. आप सीधा अवगत करते जावो अपने अच्छे वारीश्तो से या फिर सीधे भारत
    स्वाभिमान कार्यालय हरिद्वार से.

    India’s Twelfth Five-Year Plan will run from 2012 to 2017. Before the Plan
    is prepared and detailed, an Approach Paper is written. This Approach Paper
    explains the overall goal of the plan; the broad issues that the Plan will
    focus on; and the “how” of the Plan, that is, its’ underlying philosophy.
    The Approach Paper is thus a critical first step to making the Twelfth Plan.
    The importance of the Approach Paper is seen from the fact that it is
    discussed and then approved by the National Development Council, comprising
    the Prime Minister, the Chief Ministers of every state, and all Union
    Ministers.

    The Planning Commission has started working on the Approach Paper for the

    क्या आपको लगता है की देश की पौराणिक संस्कृती, मर्यादा और मूल्यों जेसी
    धरोहरों के ह्यास के लिए ये पश्चिम से आई बॉलीवुड नाम का भयंकर, विनाशकारी
    वायरस का बहुत बड़ा योगदान है ? फूहड़, नंगे विज्ञापन, इसाई संस्कृती पनपती जा
    रही है, एक ऐसी संस्कृती पनपती जा रही है जिसका कोई भविष्य / अस्तित्व नहीं है,
    न कोई भविष्य है, इसका मकसद सिर्फ बाजारवाद को बढ़ावा देना, जब किसान गरीबी से
    तंग आकार आत्महत्या करते है तो इन हीरो मन में एक फन दो काज करने का उपाय आता
    है, देश के किसानो का मजाक बनने का...फिल्म भी बन जायेगी और लोगो के दिल में
    उनकी एक अलग पहचान बनेगी की देखो आमिर खान ने पिपलि..से देश को सिखाने की कोशिश
    की है...कोक की एड करते समय वे क्या सिखाते है ? की विदेशी कंपनियों को देश में
    पनाह दो और यहाँ के छोटे व्यापारियों की नस बंद करो....क्योकि वे ब्रांड के लिए
    पैसे खर्च नहीं कर सकते.....देश में क्रांति फिल्मे / देखने बनने से नहीं आती
    है अब तक करीबन १६० तक देश भक्ति फिल्मे आई है, अभी तक तो देश का हर युवा देश
    भक्त हो जाना चाहिए था, जब कोई जवान दुश्मन के सामने होता है तो बोलिवुड का
    अभिनेता याद नहीं आता है न उसका झुटा एक्शन.. काम आती है तो वह है उसकी हिम्मत
    उसके संस्कार...देश के लिए मर मिटने का जज्बा....क्या हमारे जवानो को प्रेरणा
    देने के लिए "जय जवान" जेसे मिडिया के बाजारू कार्यक्रम में इन हीरो हिरोइनों
    को ही जगह मिलती है अब ये हाल हो गया है की ये लोग हमारे जवानो क उत्साह बढ़ाते
    है अपनी कमरिया हिला कर, और झूटे आंसू बहा कर.., और तो और उसे टी वी पर भी
    दिखाया जाता है ..ताकि अनपढ़ और पढ़े लिखे काले अंग्रेज यह जान पाए की उनके
    हीरो वास्तव में हीरो है... तो फिर धर्म के आचार्य कब उत्साह बढ़ाएंगे जेसे की
    सदियों से होता आया है हमारे देश में, धर्माचार्य सेनिको का हौसला बढ़ाते थे.
    इन मार्केटिंग के मोहरों के लिए देश भक्ति महज एक छलावा और दिखाऊ हो गया है, १५
    अगस्त , २६ जनवरी को ये कुकुरमुत्ते अपनी जबान खोलते है , दो च्यार कमेन्ट करते
    है और जनता गोल हो जाती है, बच्चा अपनी माँ बापू को कहता है की माँ देखो हीरो
    कितना अच्छा कहता है, लेकिन हीरो तो कोक / पेप्सी भी पीता है, तो मै क्यों
    नहीं... नियत नाम की कोई चीज नहीं है , इन बॉलीवुड के हिजड़ो में ! भोली भाली
    जनता को बेवकूफ बना रहे है ! इसके पीछे जनता क्या पा रही है , मुझे बताईये की
    बॉलीवुड के किसी हीरो ने क्या दिया है देश को, ऐ..ऐ .ऐ..ऐ..,,
    ..क.....क....क...क.. से किरण और क से कल्याण कर दोगे फिर से देश का..हिजड़ा
    बना कर रख दिया है इन लोगों ने और मिडिया ने...क्या किसी देश की गरिमा वहा के
    अभिनेताओ से पैदा होती है, क्या किसी देश के युवाओ को प्रेरणा वहा के बिकाऊ
    अभिनेताओ से पैदा होती है, क्या सभी युवा अभिनेता बनाना चाहते है... इससे क्या
    प्रेरणा मिलती है किसी युवा को, प्रेरणा इन मार्केटिंग के मोहरों से नहीं बल्कि
    प्रेरणा महान हस्तियों से जेसे स्वामी विवेकानंद, दयानंद सरस्वती, अब्दुल कलाम
    साहब, नाचिकेता, हामिद, भगतसिंह, आजाद, बोस, रामदेवजी से मिलती है....ये
    बॉलीवुड के मोहरे सिर्फ विदेशी फूहड़ संस्कृती के दूत है...इनका मकसद सिर्फ
    पैसा बनाना के विदेश में या बाकी की जिंदगी एशो आराम से, या पोलिटिक्स में पैर
    जमाना है.... भोली भाली जनता को बेवकूफ बनने के लिए बिकाऊ समाचार पत्र है जिसमे
    वे पैसा देकर अपनी देशभक्ति का नमूना पेश करते है, गरीबो, के बारे में हमदर्दी
    दिखाते है....फिर आधुनिकता के नाम पर चड्डी बनियान में समाचार पत्रों की शोभा
    बढ़ाते है.... तुष्टिकरण के लिए कोंग्रेसियो की तरह, पाकिस्तानी खिलाडियों की
    वकालत करते फिरते है, और यहाँ की मुर्दा जनता सिर्फ इनको भगवन की तरह मानती है,
    अभी कहने को २ महिना भी नहीं हुआ था उन मुल्लो के भारत में मुंबई को चलनी किये
    हुए की यहाँ पर पाकिस्तानी खिलाडियों की याद जोर से पकड़ने लगी....इनका क्या है
    लोगो मरे न पीछे दंगे में इनकी तो माई नेम इज..... को हिट करवाना था ना...कहने
    का मतलब साफ़ है, हमारा खून मिलावटी हो गया है, नहीं तो हमें जींस पहने
    लड़कियों/ नंगी बिकनी पहने हिरोइनों को घूरने की बीमारी न होती, पुरुषार्थ,
    ब्रह्मचर्य जेसे युवाओ के अनमोल गुण इन बॉलीवुड और भ्रष्ट और नंगी मिडिया के
    कुकर्मो के तले खो रहे है....आजकल समाचार पत्रों पर शील बेचती
    हीरोइने...प्रोफेशनल कहती अपने आप को....वेश्या का धंधा भी तो प्रोफेशनल होता
    है...लेकिन वो समाज की मर्यादाओ का ध्यान रखती है और पेट पलने के लिए... और
    दूसरी तरफ ये विदेशी संस्कृती का प्रचार करती है.....थू है जो यही पर पैदा हो
    कर भी दिमाग / मन हमेशा अमेरिका, न्युयोर्क, लन्दन में होता है....पहले मॉडल
    बनती है फिर नुमाइश करने के लिए फेशन शो नाम का, जनता को गुमराह करने के लिए
    गन्दा ढोंग किया जाता है ताकि सब शरीफ लगे लेकिन सड़ांध अन्दर तक फेली हुई है,
    अरे बासी मुर्दों अब सबको पता है तुम्हारा प्रोफेशनलिजम......देश भक्त कहते है
    अपने आप को लेकिन क्या विदेशी वस्तुओ जेसे कोक, पेप्सी, आईटीसी, लेज, थम्स-अप,
    स्प्रैट्स, एल जी, एसर, सोनी, एच.पी, एरियल, टाइड, रिन, मोंटे कार्लो, टेग
    हिवर, फेर एंड लवली, लेविस, के विज्ञापन करते समय वे अपनी देशभक्ति घर पर रख कर
    आते है, नहीं नियत नहीं है देश के प्रति...हिंदी और हिन्दू शब्द का प्रयोग करना
    मतलब पोलिटिक्स लगता है... अंग्रेजी को चाटते समय देशभक्ति लगता है....की अगर
    देश पर कोई बड़ी आफत आ जाये तो दुबई, लन्दन, मोरीशश में पहले से ही घर ले रखे
    है इन देश भक्तो ने...लेकिन सवाल है की क्या आपको जिस मुर्ख जनता ने इतना उछ
    दर्जा दिया उसे साथ लेकर रहोगे हर दम... की यही सडा के जाओगे.....अब समय आ गया
    है देश के सांस्कृतिक दुश्मनों, भारत को रामदेवजी के न्रेतत्व में हमें नई
    प्रेरणा मिलेगी और ये सड़ांध, गन्दी संस्कृती का नमो निशान नहीं रहेगा..न ही
    इंडिया नाम की बीमारी का नामोनिशान रहेगा.... जय हिंद !

    आज कि देशभक्ति लोग माल में जाकर मनाते हैं. बड़े अभिमान के साथ नॉएडा के एक
    माल ने एक अखबार में प्रचार निकाला कि १५ अगस्त २०१० को उनके माल में आने वाले
    लोगो कि संख्या एक रिकॉर्ड है. वो संख्या किसी भी माल में १ दिन में जाने वाले
    लोगो कि सबसे बड़ी संख्या है.
    अब सोचिये आज का हर भारतीय के लिए १५ अगस्त का क्या महत्त्व रह गया है.

    आपका कहना बिलकुल सही हैं. एक पढ़े लिखे सज्जन जो हमारे दूकान के नियमित ग्राहक
    हैं, बड़े ही विचलित हुए जब हमने "sodexo" (एक विदेशी लुटेरी कंपनी जिसके कूपन
    पर लेने कंपनी के कर्मचारी को आय कर में टैक्स में छूट मिलती हैं) के कूपन
    अपने दूकान में लेना बंद कर दिया. उनका कहना था कि "इंडिया" में अपना क्या है?
    सब विदेशों से ही आता है. अगर कल को विदेशी पूँजी निवेश बंद हो जाए तो हम सब
    कंगाल हो जायेंगे. कितना भी समझाने कि कोशिश कि, वो समझे नहीं और अंत में कहने
    लगे, कभी बाद में आपसे चर्चा करेंगे, अभी समय नहीं हैं.

    मेरे विचार से स्लोगन अधिक से अधिक लोग देखें यह ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है | उदाहरण
    के लिए एक युवक , जो अभी जींस और टी शर्ट पहनता है , बाबा जी या राजीव जी को
    सुन कर स्लोगन वाली टी शर्ट पहन सकता है लेकिन कुरता शायद तुरंत ना पहने | हाँ
    यदि वह आज स्लोगन वाली टी शर्ट पहनता है तो कुछ समय बाद वह कुरता भी पहनेगा |
    परिवर्तन में थोडा समय लगता है |

    मेरे विचार में टी शर्ट की बजाय कुरता अपनाएँ तो ज्यादा अच्छा रहेगा. हमें अंग्रेजों की निशानियों को भी मिटाना है, इस बात को ना भूलें. अंग्रेजी भाषा और भूषा दोनों को हटाना है, यही भारत स्वाभिमान की नीतियां है.

    Dengue Fever Remedy
     
    I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who
    has just recovered from dengue

    Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the ICU when his blood
    platelet count drops to 15 after 15 liters of blood transfusion.
     
    His father was so worried that he seeks another friend's recommendation and
    his son was saved. He confessed to me that he gave his son *raw juice of the
    papaya leaves*. From a platelet count of 45 after 20 liters of blood
    transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his platelet
    count jumps instantly to 135. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised.
    After the second day he was discharged. So he asked me to pass this good
    news around.
     
    Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2pcs just cleaned and pound and squeeze
    with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf.. So two
    tablespoon per serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot
    water, it will loose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap.
    It is very bitter and you have to swallow it like "Won Low Kat". But it
    works.
     
    *Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue*
     
    You may have heard this elsewhere but if not I am glad to inform you that
    papaya juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant
    now, I think it's good to share this with all.
     
    A friend of mine had dengue last year.. It was a very serious situation for
    her as her platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after 3 days in hospital and
    water has started to fill up her lung. She had difficulty in breathing. She
    was only 32-year old. Doctor says there's no cure for dengue. We just have
    to wait for her body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and
    fight its own battle. She already had 2 blood transfusion and all of us were
    praying very hard as her platelet continued to drop since the first day she
    was admitted.
     
    Fortunately her mother-in-law heard that papaya juice would help to reduce
    the fever and got some papaya leaves, pounded them and squeeze the juice out
    for her. The next day, her platelet count started to increase, her fever
    subside. We continued to feed her with papaya juice and she recovered after
    3 days!!!
     
    Amazing but it's true. It's believed one's body would be overheated when one
    is down with dengue and that also caused the patient to have fever papaya
    juice has cooling effect. Thus, it helps to reduce the level of heat in
    one's body, thus the fever will go away. I found that it's also good when
    one is having sore throat or suffering from heat.
     
    Please spread the news about this as lately there are many dengue cases.
    It's great if such natural cure could help to ease the sufferings of dengue
    patients.
     
    Furthermore it's so easily available.

    Is your MP underpaid?

    I was a MP not very long ago. I loved those six years. Everyone called me
    sir, not because of my age but because I was a MP. And even though I never
    travelled anywhere by train during those years, I revelled in the fact that
    I could have gone anywhere I liked, on any train, first class with a bogey
    reserved for my family. Whenever I flew, there were always people around to
    pick up my baggage, not because I was travelling business class but because
    I was a MP. And yes, whenever I wrote to any Government officer to help
    someone in need, it was done. No, not because I was a journalist but because
    I was a MP.
     
    The job had many perquisites, apart from the tax free wage of Rs 4,000. Then
    the wages were suddenly quadrupled to Rs 16,000, with office expenses of Rs
    20,000 and a constituency allowance of Rs 20,000 thrown in. I could borrow
    interest free money to buy a car, get my petrol paid, make as many free
    phone calls as I wanted. My home came free. So did the furniture, the
    electricity, the water, the gardeners, the plants. There were also
    allowances to wash curtains and sofa covers and a rather funny allowance of
    Rs 1,000 per day to attend Parliament, which I always thought was a MP's job
    in the first place! And, O yes, we also got Rs 1 crore a year (now enhanced
    to Rs 2 crore) to spend on our constituencies. More enterprising MPs enjoyed
    many more perquisites best left to your imagination. While I was embarrassed
    being vastly overpaid for the job I was doing, they kept demanding more.
     
    Today, out of 543 MPs in Lok Sabha, 315 are crorepatis. That's 60%. 43 out
    of the 54 newly elected Rajya Sabha MPs are also millionaires. Their average
    declared assets are over Rs 25 crore each. That's an awfully wealthy lot of
    people in whose hands we have vested out destiny. The assets of your average
    Lok Sabha MP have grown from Rs 1.86 crore in the last house to Rs 5.33
    crore. That's 200% more. And, as we all know, not all our MPs are known to
    always declare all their assets. Much of these exist in a colour not
    recognised by our tax laws. That's fine, I guess. Being a MP gives you
    certain immunities, not all of them meant to be discussed in a public forum.
     
    If you think it pays to be in the ruling party, you are dead right: 7 out of
    10 MPs from the Congress are crorepatis. The BJP have 5. MPs from some of
    the smaller parties like SAD, TRS and JD (Secular) are all crorepatis while
    the NCP, DMK, RLD, BSP, Shiv Sena, National Conference and Samajwadi Party
    have more crorepatis than the 60% average. Only the CPM and the Trinamool,
    the two Bengal based parties, don't field crorepatis. The CPM has 1crorepati
    out of 16 MPs; the Trinamool has 7 out of 19. This shows in the state-wise
    average. West Bengal and Kerala have few crorepati MPs while Punjab and
    Delhi have only crorepati MPs and Haryana narrowly misses out on this
    distinction with one MP, poor guy, who's not a crorepati.
     
    Do MPs become richer in office? Sure they do. Statistics show that the
    average assets of 304 MPs who contested in 2004 and then re-contested last
    year grew 300%. And, yes, we're only talking about declared assets here. But
    then, we can't complain. We are the ones who vote for the rich. Over 33% of
    those with assets above Rs 5 crore won the last elections while 99.5% of
    those with assets below Rs 10 lakhs lost! Apart from West Bengal and the
    North East, every other state voted for crorepati MPs. Haryana grabbed first
    place with its average MP worth Rs 18 crore. Andhra is not far behind at 16.
     
    But no, this is not enough for our MPs. It's not enough that they are rich,
    infinitely richer than those who they represent, and every term makes them
    even richer. It's not enough that they openly perpetuate their families in
    power. It's not enough that all their vulgar indulgences and more are paid
    for by you and me through back breaking taxes. It's not enough that the
    number of days they actually work in Parliament are barely 60 in a year. The
    rest of the time goes in squabbling and ranting. Now they want a 500% pay
    hike and perquisites quadrupled. The Government, to buy peace, has already
    agreed to a 300% raise but that's not good enough for our MPs. They want
    more, much more.
     
    And no, I'm not even mentioning that 150 MPs elected last year have criminal
    cases against them, with 73 serious, very serious cases ranging from rape to
    murder. Do you really think these people deserve to earn 104 times what the
    average Indian earns?

    You have very clearly and thoroughly understood / described the root cause of all ills seen around us in our society.As you have stated to cooperate in this campaign we must try our best to propagate the BST(Bhartiya) thinking pattern to maximum no of persons.
    This can be done
     
    Practicing Yog,Pranayam,Swadeshi and ,Ayurved so that a example is presented for a better and happy living.
    Throughout the day by our interactions with others ceaselessly so that message of Swami ji (regarding Yog and BST) spread to one and all .
    Those who appreciate the practical as well as theoretical aspects of above should be given needed help to practice Yog,Pranayam,Swadeshi and ,Ayurved.
    Those who experience benefit  from above they should be made the members of BST or PYS.(I am enclosing the very short description of Pranayam and BST form/swadeshi information)
    They should be encouraged to propagate this message further to help others.
    In this context it should be always borne in mind that Yog and Pranayam should always precede the BST principles because our base is Yog and Pranayam and not other way round.
    These are my own understanding and working methodology, if any one among us want to suggest and add their experience this will be a achievement for all of us.

    अब में अपनी बात पर आता हू- यदि हमें देश की व्यवस्थाये बदलनी है तो हमें इन भ्रष्ट्र बेईमान जन पर्तिनिधियो को  कुर्सी से हटाना ही होगो जो केवल अपने बारे में सोचते है / हाल ही में सभी सांसदों ने अपनी सेलरी ३ गुना तक बढवा ली है अब ये  प्रति  माह १,२५०००.०० पायेगे और सुविधाए अलग से / जब की हमारे देश में ७५,०००००००.०० लोग बेरोजगार है जहा तक सरकारी योजनाओ की बात है तो वह एक आदमी को साल
    में १०० दिन का ही रोजगार १०० रुपये के हिसाब से देते है, बाकि के २६५ दिन तो वह भी बेरोजगार रहता है / देश में आनाज सड़ रहा है और गरीब भूखे मर रहे है  लेकिन हर आदमी को न्यूनतम स्तर की मुलभुत सुविधाए न देने वाली इन सरकारों के मंत्री अपने लिए अधिकतम सुविधाओ की माग करते है जब की ये करोरो  रुपये हर माह  देश तथा विदेश के बेंको में जमा करते है और देश को गरीब बनाते है /  संसद में
    अधिकांश महतवपूर्ण बिल तो बिना चर्चा के ही पास हो जाते है / जो काफी दुर्भागय्पूर्ण है / हमें इस वयवस्था को बदल कर साफ सुथरी वयवस्था लानी है / इस वयवस्था को बदलने के लिए आप सब का सहयोग  चाहिए /

    Today, at wee hours Maharashtra police landed up at the residence of Hari
    Prasad in Hyderabad, a technologist and Technical coordinator of VeTA to
    arrest him. The arrest was made on the flimsy charge of ‘theft of EVM’ used
    for vulnerability demonstration by Hari Prasad and a team of security
    researchers that included Alex Halderman, professor of computer science,
    University of Michigan and Rop Gonggrijp, a security researcher from
    Netherlands along with a team of their colleagues.
    Earlier, police came to Hyderabad in the first week of August and recorded
    a statement on the EVM they had used for exposing the vulnerability of EVMs.
    They summoned him to Mumbai for further questioning. Hari Prasad could not
    go as he was busy with his professional work. Then, the sudden arrest
    happened this morning.
    Over the past one year, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has been
    lying blatantly and willfully to ensure continued use of EVMs *at all costs*.
    It attributed all kinds of qualities to its EVMs: “*totally tamper proof,
    perfect, fail safe and requiring no improvement*” etc. etc. When Hari Prasad
    agreed to meet the ECI’s challenge to demonstrate tamperability of EVMs, the
    ECI backed out imposing silly, unscientific restrictions.
    To call the ECI’s bluff, Hari Prasad and team have demonstrated the
    tamperability of EVMs on an EVM made available to them. This is like a sting
    operation carried out by media organizations. *If the stings done by media
    are a legitimate method of information gathering, so is this sting
    demonstration.* There cannot be separate standards for separate groups. In
    both cases, public interest is paramount. Moreover, the world over this is
    the practice followed by security researchers to expose vulnerabilities of
    absurd claims of “perfect” and “tamper proof” electronic voting systems. The

    For the ECI, the following developments threatening EVM exit seem to have
    caused unbearable stress.
    - 13 political parties had written to the ECI in April expressing
    concerns about the reliability of EVMs and urging the ECI to organize an
    All-party meeting. The ECI has not responded to this request so far.
    - In Telangana bypoll held last month to 12 assembly
    constituencies, the TRS had fielded a large number of dummy candidates to
    avoid use of EVMs. The ECI was thus forced to use ballot papers in 5 of the
    12 constituencies where byolls were held.
    - Last week, international experts in computer security have
    concluded in a workshop held in Washington D.C on August 9 and 10 that the
    Indian EVMs do not provide the security, verifiability, or transparency
    adequate for confidence in election results, the Election Commission of

    This workshop was attended by ECI’s expert committee chairman P.V.
    Indiresan and election commissioner Dr. Alok Shukla. Along with these ECI’s
    representatives, I had also participated in a panel discussion with these
    ECI representatives. *ECI’s arguments were completely trashed by an
    independent team of security researchers. *The audio of the panel discussion

    All the above developments have clearly unnerved the Election Commission.
    On August 10, the ECI had invited V.V.Rao, National Coordinator of VeTA
    along with Hari Prasad to discuss about the vulnerabilities of Indian EVMs.
    The chief election commissioner S.Y. Quraishi and commissioner V.S. Sampath
    have sought suggestions from Hari Prasad on how the EVMs could be
    strengthened. They said that they were willing to make improvements and are
    keen to understand what all improvements were needed.
    Reliable sources tell us that the Election Commission of India had
    pressurized the Maharashtra police to press for Hari Prasad’s arrest on
    charges of stealing the EVM used for exposing the vulnerability of EVMs. The
    ECI’s intent becomes evident from the fact that they had instructed the
    police not to share a copy of the FIR with Hari Prasad to deny him an
    opportunity to move an anticipatory bail application. Hari Prasad did mange
    to get a copy of the FIR later but decided to court arrest if necessary
    rather than seek anticipatory bail.
    *What is the Election Commission of India trying to do? Does it think that
    it can intimidate critics of EVMs? What interests is the ECI trying to
    protect by resorting to such repressive actions? Has the Election Commission
    of India got skeletons in its cupboards that it is seeking to protect any
    damaging disclosures?*
    Worldwide, vulnerabilities of electronic voting systems are exposed in
    exactly the same manner as was done by researchers in India. Nowhere have
    the election bodies used such repressive steps to intimidate critics.
    *With its desperate actions, the ECI stands totally exposed and is
    betraying signs of losing the “EVM battle”. While earlier the ECI seemed
    only guilty of being ignorant about the vulnerabilities of EVMs, the latest
    actions raise question marks about the integrity and intent of the ECI.*
    In the ongoing battle for reform the ballot (voting) system, fast paced
    developments are expected in the coming weeks. In the face of this
    adversity, as we double our efforts on all fronts, there is unstinted
    support forthcoming from all quarters.
    Finally, the stage is now set for a renewed legal battle in the Hon’ble
    Supreme Court of India. With all the evidence now available and the
    statements from experts in computer security, defending the EVMs is becoming
    as difficult for the ECI as the unbridled bungling in Common Wealth Games
    (CWG).
