There's more coming out from FamilySearch these days besides the long-
anticipated 'new FamilySearch' that is being slowly rolled out.

In fact, there are two new pages available for everyone to use.

FamilySearch Wiki. Wikimedia (think Wikipedia, as this is based on
the same software) based site that is the only known genealogy wiki
focusing entirely on locality resources so you can find records and
use them.

You can edit it, but you need to register to do so. Don't worry if
you screw something up, you can always revert the edit and start again
if need be.

A month old, this has already seen some good action. This has two
sections right now, locality research boards by continent/region, and
three forums for questions about the wiki and technical issues
regarding that. Will be broken down into smaller localities once
there is enough traffic to warrant it, but they wanted it up now so
that everyone could participate right now.

One note about registration. They eventually want to have a way to
sign in to both the wiki and the research forums with a single login,
but they are not quite there yet with that, so if you register, be
sure to register the same username with both sites, so that when they
do, the transition will be easier and your username on both sites will
remain the same.

Dive in, this was all created for you.
