I am trying to use treeannotator to draw me a tree but get an error message: GC overhead limit exceeded. Googling I find out this is a problem of memory allocation. Hence, I put 8GB to my analysis. And I get the same message. The analysis is not large by any means, about 400 sequences and 280 columns, 10.000.000 MCMCs. How can I solve this?

Same issue with tree annotator....Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
Any solutions to adjust memory in treeannotator?

Yes, I was able to get TreeAnnotator to allocate sufficient memory to finish the consensus tree. Right click TreeAnnotator program and choose “Show Package Contents”. In the Contents folder, open Info.plist in a text editor and change the memory string from 1024M to a larger value depending on the available physical ram in your system. Hope this helps.
