I need to buy a decent small refrigerator, dorm-size or a little bigger, with at least some freezing capabilities. Probably hard to find one where the two compartments are separate, but I have seen some that are pretty small. Does anyone have any recommendations for one that worked for you, and didn't take two years to off-gas first? I think for the most part those smaller ones don't have any wireless stuff connected, but that's definitely another issue I need to avoid.

Thanks.

A number of years ago (maybe 4) I found a great small fridge that had a separate freezing section. As you probably know, having a separate freezer is pretty essential since the dorm size ones, with an open freezer section in the main compartment, are pretty useless to store frozen food.  The one i found was by Frigedaire (to the best of my recollection, not sure of spelling) and only cost $300.  It was like having a real refrigerator, just a lot smaller.

Thanks, appreciate that. Did it have to off-gas for a while before you could use it? It looks to me like all those little fridges are plastic. Was the outside of your fridge made of plastic or metal?

This is the Frigidaire one that I found that seems to have pretty good space inside, but I looked at the videos below it, and they seemed to all be of different fridges, which was confusing. Is this like the one you had:

It looks a lot like one with a less familiar name that I've been looking at, which is a little cheaper, and what I like about that one is that the door is reversable:
