1. Discussed sponsorship money.
- $200 sponsorships should be easy.
- Also look for in-kind sponsors (e.g. food, T-shirts, space, etc.)
2. Marketing strategies:
- Keeping "Barcamp Madison" name and not switching to MadCamp or other
- Use other Festival events as feeders (FT Conf, HTHH, Cap Entreps)
- Update barcampmadison.org with embedded Eventbrite and self hosted
session registration
- Facebook Fan page
- Twitter strategy
- Articles
- "Keynote" presenters who'd draw a crowd
- Early commitments from presenters who can write about what they'll be
presenting on
3. Location, related to participation:
- College of engineering was best location yet.
- Last year petered out by 3/3:30.
4. Target Date
- August 17th
*TO-DO BEFORE NEXT MEETING DATE (toward end of April)
