On the 20th day of the month of July of the year 1895 in the church, etc., etc. solemnly baptized an individual of the masculine sex whom I gave the name of Antonio and born in this freguesia at 10 hours of the night? of the current day of the month of July of the current year of 1895. Natural son of unknown father and Giralda de Jesus Coelha, bem profissao? native of this same freguesia de que e parochial__? resident of the place of Fasenda (the farm). Paternal grandson of unknown grandparents and maternal of Antonio Coelho Baita or Baeta and of Maria de Jesus Coelha. For godfather Antonio Pimental Baeta Rodrigues, married, farmer and godmother Filomena de Trindade, married. Then the usual ending stuff. The side margin has the word “poor” in it so I suspect it says something about them being to poor to pay but; I don’t really know.Hope someone can fill in the parts I missed and hope this helps. Sam (somewhere in Indiana)
