Hi All,

I am trying to read an unusual name or alcuna. It looks like Jose Cortocio Pacheco. Any other thoughts on it?

Hi Rick,

I read it as "Jose Antonio Pacheco" It's a little fooling but if compared to a few other letters and words I always come with Antonio.

I couldn't open your file, but I think Margaret probably got it. It
says tiff, but is it some new version?

Hi Margaret,

I don't have that program. This is the first time I have been unable
to open a file. Can you save it as simple jpeg?

I tried to save it as another file but could not. Perhaps I can go back
to the FHC and re-do the file in another format. I have never had a
problem with a tif file.

Rick,

Thanks for the larger portion.  Reading it from the father's name portion I would  say it is 'CONTREIO'. And there is such a surname in PT.

take care,

Margaret Vicente.

JR save Rick's file as it is (tif).  Once donwloaded, right mouse click on it and when the drop down menu shows see if you have "microsoft imaging" if it shows, select it and it will open the tif file.  If not let me know and I will try sending you a jpeg.

Thanks Margaret,

That makes more sense to me.

Rick.
