Hello everyone.  I have notice and keep checking  back to see if there is any records on line yet with the CCA for the Island of Graciosa.  Has there been any word yet on this.  I also tried looking on the Island of Terceira since they are main hub for records and there is nothing listed..  Does anyone know if Joao Ventura is able to get records from there if they are in the early 1900.  I am looking from 1905 to about 19011 or 12
Thanks

Bob C,

What you see is what we see.  Nothing online for Graciosa.  The records on Terceira look like they have something for every freguesia, but I didn't check to see if it was baptisms or what.

João Ventura, the archivist, is no longer in the genealogy division of the CCA.

Most records that are currently online at the CCA site go up to 1911.

Joao Ventura, the Genealogist, was able to get Graciosa records for me prior to 1913, when my grandfather's family arrived in the US. He had no problem going back four generations.

Joao did great!  He provided the record image along with the Portuguese transcription and English transcription. You'll just need to be clear on what your goal is.
