Mello from Graciosa 1880s & 1890s to California

New to this post. Need help finding family information for the following, Grandfather Frank Mello born in 1898 on the island of Graciosa, We think his Brother was Joesph Mello born april 23 1887. Mother Rose Candida. Both Frank and Joesph lived in and around Richmond, El Cerrito, California. Any help would be great.

Hi , My name is Henrietta Mello Mayer and my grandfather was Manuel Sousa
Mello born in 1855 in Santa Cruz, Graciosa. I was in Graciosa for a month
a couple of years ago. While there I copied the Confession rolls for the
year 1870 from the St. Mateus Church in the Praia. If you need information
from there let me know.
