Hi everyone,

Reading about the Alameda cemeteries reminded me that I have the
cemetery list for St Stephen's which is the old Concord cemetery in
Contra Costa County where my family and many other Azoren families are
buried.

If anyone needs a look-up, please let me know. It's a hard copy and
not on the internet. A good project for someone....not me ;-)

I will look for Noia and Botelho and get back to you. (I'm a work
right now.) All the Azoren names are there. Dutra, Noia, Oliveira,
Nunes, Sliveira, Enos, Enes, Azevedo, Viera (several spellings),
Alvernaz and more.

And yes, this is the cemetery on Monument Blvd. It is now a
historical monument under the auspices of Queen of All Saint's Church.

Hi

I too live in Concord, California. I know where St Stephen's cemetery is it is at the corner of Monument Blvd. And Monument Court and Systron Drive, you can see it from BART.

I did some research on Saint Stephen's Cemetery and found the following.

I contacted Contra Costa County Historical Society (Web Site:
http://www.cocohistory.com/index.html )about Saint Stephen's cemetery in Concord and was told that Queen of All Saints Church maintains the cemetery.

Queen Of All Saints Catholic
2390 Grant St
Concord, CA 94520
Web Site:

I hope it helps. All the best in your research.

Eugenia

Hi Rosemary,

My grandfather is buried at St. Stephen's, but there is no marker on his grave. Do you have a complete list or only those with markers? My grandfather's name was Cirillio Giovanni Battista Angella. Do you have anything resembling any of his names on your list?

Thank you!
