I am researching the name "Augusto/Augustino/Agostinho/ Augustine" and while it is not considered to be very common in the Azores, I'm finding that there are a few names cropping up in the time period for which I am searching (ie 1785-1800 give or take a few years).
The last little attachment below completes the birth entry for Augusto, son of de Rosa Luisa........
I thought most birth entries were signed by the Cura or priest.  This one says "Wigr." with a little raised notation - what does that mean?
What is written in the margin?

Regards,
Joy Hughes

Attached is a birth entry for Augusto son of Manoel Gaspar ........( I don't know where the " Silva" in lighter or different colour ink at the end of the first line fits) Francisa? Dandira .......

There are several names mentioned - not sure how they all fit into the picture - I would appreciate some help.

Regards,
Joy Hughes

Many thanks Margaret for your help.  I am so grateful.  I am endeavouring to learn to read the micrfiche entries for myself, now that they are online. You have given me a kickstart on my way.   With much appreciation,
Joy
