I think you have all the relevant data correct as far as names, date, ages, and parishes.  They are all from Biscoitos except for the groom's mother who is from Altares.  The lines you ask about are standard marriage script about them being received as husband and wife and joined in matrimony in the "Santa Madre Igreja Catholica Apostolica Romana" (Holy Mother Roman Catholic Apostolic Church).  All of the marriages at this parish during this era have the same lines between the bride's parents and the names of witnesses.

All I can add is that is not really relevant: the bride is of occupation domestica; the second witness is the treasurer for the local parish; and that the bride and groom cannot write.

It depends.

Ernesto do Canto made partial indices for select freguesias and select events on Sao Miguel. A few marriages from Sao Miguel have been published in the Insulana books. I've typed up a marriage index for Achada from the beginning to 1723 or so. Carlos Machado also did a lot for Sao Miguel. I know there's something called Fenix Angranese (sp) for Terceira.

So no, there really is no silver platter with all the marriages of all the Azores to hand out to people. Every once in a while, there will be something, and the rest of the time, we will have to slough through it. Blood, sweat, and tears, the old fashioned way!

All I have about the ascendants of Antônio Ferreira Berbereia. I have not the ascendants of Lourença Justiniana. I suppose they are Narciso Coelho and Joaquina Claudia de Betencourt married in Altares on 1804 (fl. 48v). The change of name is frequent to the wives. To confirm.

Tomorrow will check the reference for each name variation.  Narcizo parents Jose Rodrigues Coelho and Benedicta Mariana married 1764 Altares, Terceira. Joaquina parents Joaquim Jose deBettencourt and Laureanna Roza.

1.--Your #16, Pedro Enes Berbeira,  I have a death date of 24 Jan 1710, Saint Beatris, Quatro Ribeiras.

Thank you for the list of 5 different married couples and the list of common ancestors.

I located the above couple # 80 and #81 on your list and related them back to Antonio Ferreira Berberia and Lourenca Justiniane. 

But the other 4 couples on Philipee listing and the same 4 couples plus Bartolmeu Rodrigues Vieira M 1671 and Luzia Vieira Margues, I'm not seeing the common ancestors on the list or in my records.

Reference system : I found it’s easier with the n° of the photo. The number page is often missed and, very often, there is a big differences between number page and number photo. Then it’s easier to find.
