There are a group of sailors in Las Palmas planning to leave around the same time, mid January when the weather settles down, to Barbados via Cape Verde. We are hoping to establish a daily net and share offshore contact details. If you are leaving at a similar time either from Las Palmas or one of the other islands you are very welcome to join us. Just let me know ASAP. Thanks, Jackie, Rivalady

Hello Jackie,

We, SY Synergie, are planning to leave for Dominica around mid january, could be a few days earlier than mid january, depending on the weather. We would like to join the daily net. We are in Las Palmas now.

Greetings,
Birgit and Daniel

Is there a decision on a daily net sked? Can it be divulged!? I'd like to try listening with my roof top aerial in Brighton!
I'm happy to forward Saildoc files to any skipper who cares to send me his offshore email address.
In case anyone is having trouble requesting them.

Hi Jackie
any decisions on SSB times and frequencies for a schedule
we hope ( along with others) to be leaving Lanzarote around the weekend, although we may have a day or two in Las Palmas and / or Tenerife before heading across

Hello all,
Arrived in Las Palmas 7am today.

VHF radio blew a fuse while I was tying to call the marina.
Anyone know a contact to get it repaired

Also, does anyone have an idea about wait times for a marina spot?

Hi Terry. I was in the office this morning and the marina is full with a waiting list.  You would be better off visiting the office now open again at 4pm and talking to Fernando, he is very helpful. Alfred Deubler is an SSB expert but I'm sure if you call him he can help/advise. 0034 626314933.

A lot of us are leaving over the weekend and there is a meeting at 4pm tomorrow at the sailors bar.

Kind regards and welcome to Las Palmas!

Jo

Would anyone know the postal address of the marina?
My wife wants to send me my Xmas Pressy.  I can't work it out from the contact page.
Thanks
Terry
