FYI, please be advised that I shared with April on yesterday the
correction to the ASBC HIV/AIDS Survey announcement, that the institution that
is collaborating with the NVCCPHA churches and the Fairfax Health Dept. is
not George Washington University, but should have read George Mason
University, as I shared with you both at our planning meeting. She
said that she would have it corrected.

Jason - just one small correction - the collaboration for National HIV Testing Day "Our Faith Lights the Way!" is between ASBC, Alleyne AME and Alexandria Health Department, not VDH.

I was not able to identify and secure a HIV Testing resource for the May 5th Women's Healthcare event. The Northern Virginia area has lost a lot of NGO HIV testing capacity.
I pray more eyes will open and more hands will help with growing labors.

Based on my understanding of church policy this request should brought to the church office first because it's relates to an international dignitary and it's unplanned programming.
Have you reached out to April or Missions with the request? If not, we should schedule a meeting with April Hicks as soon as possible.
Of course the HIV/AIDS Ministry will support requests from UNAIDS as in the past. It would be wonderful if this was a church-wide fellowship and awareness activity.
As with the last year's activity, we will need the complete itinerary to adequately plan for this.

Thanks for your reply.
I wanted to make sure that the HIV/AIDS Ministry was clear, aware of, and in position to either advise or counsel the church office prior to meeting w April and the pastor on it. Didn't want to blindside the ministry before engaging the office w the request. Since the ministry would be the hosting ministry of the church, if approved. If you and the ministry are comfortable w the request, I'll move to direct it to the office and the pastor accordingly, as the next step. Please advise.
