H264 decode on Apricot R3 and R5

Hi there,

I've played a H264 encoded video on default Android smoothly.

But on Apricot R3 and R5 using gnome-mplayer, the video is choppy.

On R3 I did a modprobe on all media related modules but it did not solved the issue.

Should I have to install an specific player?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no Mali-Related hardware working on Apricot for now. These are closed-source hardware that are not compatible with Linux, you can complain to WonderMedia or VIA for this.
