Hi community.

I have some good news which are not as news as that.

  • libhybris : https://github.com/libhybris/libhybris
Short story : we could use the graphic driver stack from Android in Linux.

  • Wayland : http://wayland.freedesktop.org/
Short story : a replacement of X.org server (In the display stack) that could use direct rendering (no need of graphic driver for the GPU, only kernel driver for the GPU)

  • Gnome porting to Wayland : https://live.gnome.org/Wayland
Short Story : Gnome is using only X.org for stable release, but they are porting it to wayland and they hope functional release for the end of 2013.

That will not be done tomorrow, neither the day after tomorrow, but this is definitively the best opportunity that we have to enhance Linux Display on this ........ ( Fulfill with what you feel)
