Isn't the word "FIRNAMENT" an exemplar expression of "Onomatopoeia" . . .

Historically equivalent to "FIRE" in the "HEAVENS?

And if so, doesn't it suggest that the most primitive of primates must have known that all the twinkles in the heavens must be tiny solar flares not unlike our own Sun?

No. It's related to "firm".

When I first heard the word "FIRNAMENT", something registered in my skull akin to "fire" and I didn't know what it was or why until just now!

And it's because the word "FIRNAMENT" was suggestive of the word "FURNACE"! -- And now you're gonna tell me there's absolutely no

association other than the serendipity sounds and alliteration of the two syllables "Firn" and "Furn", arentcha -- ARENTCHA!!!

Look _very_ closely at the spelling. The actual spelling, not what
you've been typing.

"Firnament" evokes a portmanteau word composed of "fir" and "ornament"
and could designate e.g. a christmas ball.

Excuse me but if you're going to give a lesson, give a lesson, don't turn it into a quiz or guessing game.
When you say Look _very_ closely at the spelling, the actual spelling, not what you've been typing,
the least you can do is tell me WHAT THE ACTUAL DAMN SPELLING IS THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Sincerely yours,

Typo Extraordinaire,

I apparently bespoke a malaprop, a word that does not exist but perhaps should exist.
The word I hallucinated was apparently derived from Firmament with an i.
Firmament, Easton's Bible Dictionary - Firmament
Firmament [N] [S] from the Vulgate firmamentum,
which is used as the translation of the Hebrew raki'a .
This word simply means "expansion."
It denotes the space or expanse like an arch appearing immediately above us.
They who rendered raki'a by firmamentum regarded it as a solid body.
The language of Scripture is not scientific but popular.
Hence we read of the sun rising and setting, and also here the use of this particular word.
It is plain that it was used to denote solidity as well as expansion.
It formed a division between the waters above and the waters below ( Genesis 1:7 ).
The raki'a supported the upper reservoir ( Psalms 148:4 ).
It was the support also of the heavenly bodies ( Genesis 1:14 ),
and is spoken of as having "windows" and "doors" ( Genesis 7:11 ; Isaiah 24:18 ; Malachi 3:10 ) through which the rain and snow might descend.
But the word I "heard" was FUrnament or fUrmamentum with a u
probably because it sounded to me like it was derived from the word "FURNACE'
as in the sun being the furnace during the day and all the furnaces at night (in the Furmamentum with a u).
for all the countless little furnaces it displays at night that we call stars.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

answers to most if not all of your questions can be found using a search
bar. You don't need these people, Bozo - and you know it. But you do need
their company. You need their acceptance. Why Bozo? Why?

Come on dude, get back to being Bozo - the ever evolving Bozo we

reaching out to these people in the pretense of looking for their
help. Come back Bozo. Come back.

Again Bozo, you simply go to the search bar - I use google - and pump in
F-I-R-M or even less and the word will pop up among others along with
the definition. It is obvious that asking the people in this group what
this or that means is just a ruse to get in with them, to become a part
of the gang even at the lowest level. You want to communicate Bozo?
Just write what you really want to write and send it into this group, or
any group, and eventually you'll come across one person who understands
and enjoys your ramblings. Please, let's cut the fraudulence Bozo.
