I hate to seem contentious, but honestly, I think she'd be fine if she
just got a bit of peace in her personal life, some distance from all
the crazy, and maybe got away from all the people telling her never to
forgive any slight.
I believe that she could just walk away at any time, and a month or
two later, she'd be pretty well-off. Not sure how to justify this, but...
It feels like her crazy is just a scab over some wounds that have, at this
point, mostly healed. When she's ready to let it go, I'd guess it'll come
off smooth and clean, and leave her a little tender but ready to actually
get some living done.

something he never repeats it and is always honest with me on what he
thinks about it. Yet he never comdems me for my feelings or
problems.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Although I would add that
it isn't Jesus that matters, but His teachings.
What He _really_ tried to teach, not what we are _told_ He taught.
I do not at all trust the people who put together the Bible in
the first place, nor those who have controlled its contents
since then.
It is a synthetic document. In order to get a real idea of what
Jesus tried to teach, you need the Dead Sea Scrolls and the
Nag Hammadi and to free yourself from the interpretations
that have become standardized by the 'Christian' propagandists.
As for the Old Testament, you are sure right about that. Jesus
brought a New Covenant to _replace_ the old one. The OT is
a Judaic document.
