Long, long ago I remember Michael Owens' list of masters and how Milarepa was one of them (if I remember correctly). And I also seem to remember, not long after that "development", Harold Klemp writing about Milarepa's master, Marpa, being an Eck Master. (June 2005 Mystic World, p. 2.)

It seems that ever since the plagiarisms and amount of copying were exposed, and some people left Eckankar in conga lines, an attempt was made to refer to more historically known persons like Milarepa, Marpa and Rumi, etc.
