Yes and No. Your 'standards' are flawed and invalid. Your focus is myopic.
Your thinking is unintelligent and illogical. Don't blame anyone but yourself.
Eckankar is not a 'real valid path' because of 'plagiarisms' - that's
simplistic thinking and irrational. It ignores everything else AS IF
plagiarism and Twitchell's lying about that is the only issue. It ain't.
Multiple issues combine to make a whole in undermining the legitimacy of
eckankar as a valid, real path and as a valid 'religion' worthy of Tax free
status.
No one issue can be separated nor isolated from the whole of it. But one can
discuss the many different issues one at a time -- the key is to not ignore
the whole at the same time - iow CONTEXT is everything here.
As CONTEXT is everything in regard those self-evident examples of Twitchell's
texts lifted from other sources.
Those texts can be both false or valid, depending on their original CONTEXT as
much as the 'truth or falsity' of those ideas being represented by the original
texts.
So yes and no, those things are either true or false, or can only have useful
meaning within the context in which they were cast.
Ripping off someone else's text out of ITS prior contexts and shoving it into
Twitchell's CONTEXT and the WHOLE of what constitutes Eckankar is utterly
irrelevant to whether or not the things taken are true or not before.
But it is relevant when Twitchell takes XYZ text out of it's original context
and then places within his own context and the myriad of other parts of his
teachings that are in complete antagonism between each other.
Twitchell's Eckankar fails because of it's lack of coherency as a distinct
whole. That's just one issue. Plagiarism and his lies, and the historical myths
are irrelevant to that ... but all together build a more accurate picture of
the truth than the BELIEFS people choose to make of the parts and the whole.
Those original sources either are or aren't true, real and valid all on their
own basis - the same as Twitchell's 'teachings' either are or are not Real,
Valid and True on their own basis.
Twitchell falsely claimed the SHS books oen and two were DICTATED to him via
Fubbi Quantz from the "inner worlds" and was the FIRST time that "translation"
into words had ever been done.
All of that is UNTRUE ..... that is the context of where Twitchell placed the
words he took from other written sources on earth.
Twitchell lied about Eckankar and it's 'teachings'. That's a fact. Fubbi Quantz
here is only one of those lies.
Whether other religious founders lied or plagiarized or not has NO BEARING on
these proven facts about Twitchell and the "teachings" of eckankar as still
presented by HK.
The issue of Twitchell's credibility and Eckankar & HKs too rests totally
independent of all other teachings and writings. And they of Eckankar.
Further myth making and illogical claims (ala Kinpa above) isn't going to
help resolve any of the issues for the benefit of all and Truth in and of
itself.
Personal issue to be dealt with first includes overcoming Cognitive Dissonance,
the 5 stages of grief having been lied to and knowing that, Myopia, logical
fallacies, irrational thinking, plus recognizing the difference between one's
unfounded beliefs (bar twitchell said xyz) and the true verifiable facts.
Only then does one even begin to sort out fact from fiction and what is Real
and Valid and what is not.
Most people who remain in Eckankar and consider it's beliefs as True are
either too lazy or still under the WOW effect.
The WOW effect always wears off. Lazy sometimes never.
