From Face the Nation, Nov. 16, 2008: Newt Gingrich and Bobby Jindall discuss
why the Republicans lost this year. As usual there were trying to fob it off
on George Bush. Never mind that Bush went along with every single policy
that is at the core of Republican ideology. And the fact they they defended
him at every turn which led us down a path that has almost left the country
completely bankrupt. Jindall tries to pump the "we're a center-right nation"
line that is littering our airwaves, but the facts don't support it and
neither did the election. And as usual, Newt wraps it up by saying Obama won
because he was "Reaganite".

Gingrich: I think that's right and if you look at the [...] you look at
Sen. Obama's campaign he's promising a middle class tax cut. That was a
Reaganite position.

I seem to recall that what was being spewed by Conservatives and Newt was
that Obama is a Socialist leading up to Obama's victory. Maybe the people
want Socialism, Newt?

http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/media/play/qt/6803/24102

These conservative purists are just like the Communists. It wasn't
"Communism" that failed everywhere it was tried. It was something else, run
by incompetent and immoral people. They will never examine whether the
ideology people tried to implement is itself so faulty that it inevitably
leads to incompetence and corruption.

They have always been upside-down Marxists.

Besides, Bobby Jindal thinks exorcisms cure cancer, so I wouldn't put much
stock in anything he says.

Reslugs just can't face the absolute fact that their backwards party is
dying out fast and that most Americans are progressives, as proven in the
last election.

Do the names Dan Quayle and Spiro Agnew ring a bell? People don't
vote against vice presidential nominees. How long did that wilderness
sojourn last after you won it all in 1976 and 1992?

If George W. Bush hadn exploited 9/11/01 so cleverly, his rubber stamp
congress wouldn't have lasted 6 years.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. The people will restore
checks and balances soon enough.

Really?

Obama outspent McCain by eight to one.

The press covered for him.

The press sent spies to dig up any bit of dirt they could on Sarah.

And Obama won by a few points.

Obama is now surrounding himself with utter nincompoops.

He's promised to cut taxes on the middle class.

He's going to raise them.

He's promised to bankrupt the Coal industry.

He's promised to pull out of Iraq immediately.

This is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin is quietly transforming herself into Maggie
Thatcher.

I can see why you changed your name, Zepp.

No, he OUTFUNDRAISED him eight to one. Obama SPENT $67.5 million
compared to Gramps' $53.2 million. That's not eight to one, Valley
Girl. Fuck, that's not even TWO to one.

> The press covered for him.

How so?

> The press sent spies to dig up any bit of dirt they could on Sarah.

No, that's the DNCs job. The press sent people up to Alaska to see if
the story Sarah Palin was selling at the RNC was true and they found
out it wasn't. Over the course of ONE WEEKEND after her nomination in
September, Palin's approval ratings among the nation's voters went
from 52% to 48% and they continued their downward slide as she opened
her mouth.

> And Obama won by a few points.

He won 51% to 42%. That's nine points. That may be a 'few' points in a
basketball game but in politics, that's pretty big.

> Obama is now surrounding himself with utter nincompoops.

Hasn't even picked his cabinet yet.

Not unless you make more than a quarter of a million a year, he's not.
Since when are THEY middle class?

> He's promised to bankrupt the Coal industry.

No he hasn't. What he SAID was that anyone who paid to build a coal-
fired plant was going to have to pay for all the greenhouse emissions
that would cause and it would probably bankrupt them.

> He's promised to pull out of Iraq immediately.

No he hasn't. What he SAID was that he would leave Iraq responsibly.

> This is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Well, there is nothing else you really can do, is there, Valley Girl?

> Meanwhile, Sarah Palin is quietly transforming herself into Maggie

More like she's quietly transforming herself into Madame DeFarge.
(Look it up) Former veep nominees have a terrible track record,
especially when their bosses DON'T win. I mean, how about Jack Kemp?
What's he up to now? Or here's a good one, William E. Miller. Who the
fuck is he, you ask? Why, he was Barry Goldwater's running mate when
Goldwater tried to beat Lyndon Johnson in '64 and got the everlovin'
shit kicked out of him instead. You should be old enough to remember
that.

What Palin is doing now is sort through her wardrobe and try to give
back as many of the $150,000 in clothes she had the RNC buy for her.
The First Dude will keep the silk boxers though. Don't know if it will
do any good. Her approval rating among Alaskans is 68% now. Not bad
but it used to be 80%.

Yeah, if you want to send Palin out in 2012, all I can say is
pleasepleasepleasepleaseohpleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.

We'll be waiting.

According to Times Online, Obama/McCain TV spending was 4-1 overall and
8-1 in battleground states. Obama raised over $600 Million. Look for final
accounting to be buried deep in the news sometime next year.

"Amazing" in a criminal sense of the word. As the Washington Post
wrote:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/28/AR2008102803413_pf.html

" Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign is allowing donors to
use largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that could potentially be
used to evade limits on how much an individual is legally allowed to
give or to mask a contributor's identity, campaign officials
confirmed.

Faced with a huge influx of donations over the Internet, the
campaign has also chosen not to use basic security measures to prevent
potentially illegal or anonymous contributions from flowing into its
accounts, aides acknowledged. Instead, the campaign is scrutinizing
its books for improper donations after the money has been deposited.

The Obama organization said its extensive review has ensured that
the campaign has refunded any improper contributions, and noted that
Federal Election Commission rules do not require front-end screening
of donations.

In recent weeks, questionable contributions have created headaches
for Obama's accounting team as it has tried to explain why campaign
finance filings have included itemized donations from individuals
using fake names, such as Es Esh or Doodad Pro. Those revelations
prompted conservative bloggers to further test Obama's finance vetting
by giving money using the kind of prepaid cards that can be bought at
a drugstore and cannot be traced to a donor.

The problem with such cards, campaign finance lawyers said, is
that they make it impossible to tell whether foreign nationals, donors
who have exceeded the limits, government contractors or others who are
barred from giving to a federal campaign are making contributions.

"They have opened the floodgates to all this money coming in,"
said Sean Cairncross, chief counsel to the Republican National
Committee. "I think they've made the determination that whatever money
they have to refund on the back end doesn't outweigh the benefit of
taking all this money upfront."

The Obama campaign has shattered presidential fundraising records,
in part by capitalizing on the ease of online giving. Of the $150
million the senator from Illinois raised in September, nearly $100
million came in over the Internet ."

To paraphrase a young Tennessee lawyer named Fred Thompson who was
then assisting Senator Howard Baker (R-TN) and the Senate Select
Committee on Presidential Campaign Activities: What did the wanna-be
president know, and when did he know it?

equating McCain with George W. Bush, and now Republican
losses weren't because of Bush.

Obama was very smart. By putting Bush's face on the failed

having to explain the specifics. It's much easier to sell

Most of the Republics who have been defeated have been moderates, not
liberals. The Republics are doing the Democrats work for them, purging the
reasonable, electable people from the party and putting forth the extremists
and crazies. That's why you've lost seats in the last two Congressional
elections. That's why you've lost the popular vote in four of the last five
presidential elections, and the won in 2004 -- Ohio shenangicans by Rove
aside -- was one of the smallest margins by a president seeking a second
term ever.

Today the Republics are the party of the extreme right, the old South, and
rural, sparsely populated plains and mountain states. It's obvious that if
the Republics are going to survive, continuing along the same path is NOT a
good idea.

No, I understand that if Obama keeps his promise to destroy 50% of our

BTW, this isn't about winning the White House - it's about what's

I'd sure love to know who said that, but it's just another "unnamed
source", isn't it"?

In any case, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are people who
work for McCain who are scared to death of Sarah. She's the future,
McCain is the past.

I was not thrilled with neither the Bush presidency nor the McCain
candidacy. George W. Bush was a liberal big spender in domestic policy
and John McCain's "maverick" image was code for insulting
conservatives in order to charm the establishment. Having to support
those two rhinos was a trial that is now over.

Sarah Palin, by contrast, is Teddy Roosevelt by way of Ronald Reagan
and Margaret Thatcher. She personifies the practical common-sense
conservatism of Middle America. The assembled right-wingers love her
for the smears and condescension she has suffered on their behalf. And
since they will be among the donors, precinct workers and voters in
the 2012 presidential primaries, Ms. Palin clearly has a big political
future.

WOW! this is way so cool. I was banking on this fool to be
another major mistake like Bush because all those that voted Bush fliped
and voted for "That Thing".

I recently purchased a 60inch HD to record all the garbage fixing
to spill out from Washington. But man I didnt expect all this garbage
to happen so soon. Im so loving this im just drooling out the mouth.

Again DOW DOWN !!!! love it!!! This jerk will be worst than Bush!!
LOL and hes not even in office yet!!! Oh Man!!

Bush kept your dead beat ass safe for 8 years
the Dow was at 14,200 in Oct 2007
unemployment was at 5.2

Now your buddy little Barney Franks and other dems who
ran Fan May and Fre Mac and forced banks to make home
loans to people who didn't have the money......that is what
destroyed the economy so if your looking for failures look
no further than your own back yard!

Got'a Love it!!

Of course it does - you won't be fixated on her if it didn't.

That is, of course, your desperate hope.
