HAWAIIAN AND SOUTH PACIFIC MUSIC HITS THE AIRWAVES IN VANCOUVER, CANADA.

Fairchild Media officially welcomed Canadian Paul Modde as Producer and Host
of "Tropical Rhythms" at their recent Press Conference and luncheon.

Fairchild Media was presented with a new FM license by the CRTC as North
America's first commercial "World Beat" radio station--broadcasting 20
programs in 16 languages.

Paul is know on air as Kia'i (pronounced kee-ah-ee). This is part of the
Hawaiian name given to him by Hawaiian Hula Master, Uncle George Naope.

Listeners enjoy traditional and contemporary music from Hawaii and the South
Pacific. The program also features history, news, travel, culture, tour
dates, CD reviews, in studio interviews and performances as well as live on
air interviews from anywhere in the world.

THE HAWAIIAN/SOUTH PACIFIC CLUB CELEBRATES ONE YEAR ON 96.1FM CHKG,
VANCOUVER, CANADA.

On September 9, 1998, "Tropical Rhythms" celebrated one year on the air on
96.1 FM CHKG, Vancouver, Canada.

Tropical Rhythms is produced and hosted by Paul Modde, a Canadian born of
Dutch and French ancestry. Paul prefers to be called by the Hawaiian
version of his name, Paulo. On air he is known as Kia'i (guardian), part of
the Hawaiian name given to him by Big Island Hula Master, reverently
referred to as Uncle George Naope.

Paulo is a 30 year Hawaiian/Polynesian student and promoter of island music
in Canada.

Paulo would like to hear from any recording acts interested in Canadian
distribution, tour promotions in Canada and from those wanting their music
played on his weekly program. Please send complete press kits.

He would also like to be informed of the winners of yearly music awards like
the Hoku's in Hawaii, news, concerts, festival tours, etc.

Kia'i is interested in establishing an annual Hawaiian/Polynesian/South
Pacific Music Festival in Vancouver, eventually touring to other major

of the Arts" that is held every four years on the island in the South
Pacific.
