Hum, a couple of Ari's associates have made direct contact with
our friend Q now. I think you'll find him much less willing to
treat the investigation as a silly game from now on, if you
know what I mean. Look for him to become much quieter. <VBG>

That happened when flying instructor Dudley Henriques believed your

Going over the various possibilities it seems (not

Dearest socko, I've already asked to talk to the organ grinder rather
than his monkey. Could your sockmaster arrange it for me next time.

Why do you believe there's no one else in the world apart from you who
can fly? I hope you're not falling for too many of my feints. When
you next get a chance to go up for spin, make sure the descent follows
that VASI's 3 degree glide but, with a bit of luck, your landing gear
will be so festooned with clinging stowaway socks that altogther their
dangling length exceeds 32 feet just as you clear the threshold. That
will be a good way to get rid of a few. :)

You never told me what you are trying to hide from the SD checks.

Rather than occupy yourself concocting basic questions, why not read
up on energy management so next time you can impress me with your
understanding. That's if you're not called to save the troops in
Afghanistan.

Odds are seriously in your favor now.

The fact that the maintenance system transmitted for four minutes says
that not only was the aircraft more or less in one piece during that
time, but that the electrical systems were still functioning. If the
tail snapped off as suggested, the aircraft wouldn't have lasted more
than a few seconds at that altitude and speed.

Indications are stronger that the failure of the vertical stabilizer
was a consequence rather than a cause of the accident.

Anything is possible, however, the communication link depends on a
relatively stable aircraft, since the satcom antennas mounted on the top
of the fuselage have to be directed at the satellites. If the aircraft
is banked more than something like 70 degrees, or pitching or rolling
wildly, the communication link would be broken. It certainly wouldn't
work if the aircraft wasn't in one piece or was demonstrating
significant control surface malfunctions.

Beware what you read in the press, they are taking raw data and either
misinterpreting it or trying to "simplify" it for their impression of
their reader's intelligence.

I would be more concerned if you were on a test flight.

Chris (Hummingbird)

Your friend fantasized about special forces and nowadays fantasizes
about aviation. His bluff got called.

Goodbye deep south fantasies; welcome to the murky labyrinths of
Armscor and Denel.

Air investigation and truth? Soth Africa's Graca managed to get the
investigation into the Tu-134 reopened but only because she married
Mandela. No one but grieving relatives expect the scandal of two
"sister" investigations to get looked into: the Helderberg 747 and Dag
Hammarskjold's DC-6. The TRC (and several others) smelt a rat but no
one did a single thing.

See if the CVR for the Helderberg matches the official transcript (ha
ha!) and take it from there. Meckanic and Klatzow appear reliable.

Goodbye luminous wrist watches; hello darkness.

OK you win, there is no fighting aviator expertise far greater than
mine.

To show you I meant no harm, I have a video which will agree with your
assessments.

I'd almost forgotten MS Flight Simulator existed but you seem to have
ready recall of it. That explains a lot if it's where you get your
aviation info.

When you were on the Usenet (which is before there was a Usenet, I
think) that program used to be the acid test for PC clone
compatibility.

I have a fan and a helmet worn by Snoopy to make the illusion real.

I can't tell a lie. I was not on Usenet before there was Usenet.

Another piece in the puzzle? Possibly but who really knows. When the
final investigations result, whose opinions can be trusted?

Fly without fear, the odds are still immensely in your favor.

Monkey, is this how you glide without the help of VASI and at the same
time manage to cut down the number of socks.
