Matthew 2:16 is given verbatim above.

It is no mistake to recognize that, geographically, travel due East for two years on the Silk Road leads to what is China.

No.
There are an infinite number of things not mentioned in the Bible not because they are heathen but because there is not enough room (John 21:25) for everything that our LORD Jesus has done/created.
> There were no Christians in it. Or Jews.
It is written that LORD Jesus says He has sheep in other pastures (John 10:16) **and** that with GOD all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

In the Jewish (CJB) translation, they are called Magi, which is without gender and does not imply wisdom, which was clearly lacking according to Matthew 2:2-3

It was **not** wise to inquire about a new toddler king of the Jews while an old king of the Jews still reigns.
Magi, meaning powerful ones, would possibly (Matthew 19:26) have had the power to defeat the troubled (aka angry) King who likely sent "all Jerusalem" (i.e. all his soldiers) to kill them.

After being defeated, King Herod apparently felt he had no choice but to give the Magi the information they wanted.

And, so he learned that it took two years (Matthew 2:16) for the Magi to travel from their land of origin in the East (i.e. China) to Jerusalem.
> 8 And sending them into

It would have been easier to accompany the Magi and worship the 2 year-old child at the same time but it is likely that King Herod was afraid that the 2 year-old LORD Jesus would know what was in the old king's heart and command His Magi to kill the traitor.

The latter are expensive spices known to have been transported along the Silk Road.

Therefore, the time of travel for the Magi was 2 years.

For the Jewish people to allow this massacre without uprising to kill Herod, the mass-child-murderer, does mean that they were afraid that the Magi were going to return in greater numbers to install the toddler as the new king so that they would be over-run by these Magi people who were so foreign in appearance that the Jewish people were unable to tell male from female (hence the use of the gender-less word, Magi).

It is a miracle that to this day Nazareth still exists while much larger cities of the time period do not.

Taking your continued interest in the above Holy Spirit-guided exegesis of Matthew 2:16 and its context to mean "yes, you have a healthy appetite," I remind you, Daniel, that it's really Wonderful (Isaiah 9:6) knowing through our hunger (Deuteronomy 8:3) that we're both being blessed right now as it's written in the Gospels in red&white at Luke 6:21 **and** according to pure logic (healthy=wonderful & appetite=hunger) and advise that you try to write that you're "wonderfully hungry" since we've re-established here that you are:
So now how are you ?
...because we mindfully choose to openly care with our heart,
