We are excited to invite you to submit an abstract to our session at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Annual Meeting, taking place Dec 15-19, 2025. Our session, H153: Water and Society: Innovations in Transboundary Water Resources Management, will explore crucial issues at the intersection of water resources and societal impacts across neighboring countries. The deadline for abstract submission is Wednesday, July 30, 2025. You can directly submit an abstract to our session using the “Submit an Abstract” tab in the flyer below.

SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT

 

We are excited to invite you to submit an abstract to the PEER2PEER session at the AGU Fall Meeting 2025, which will be held in New Orleans, LA, December 15–19, 2025. The session, titled "H153: Water and Society: Innovations in Transboundary Water Resources Management", will explore innovative ways to navigate challenges in transboundary water resources management, including technological advances, assessment frameworks, science diplomacy and coalitions aimed at better coordinating the management of transboundary water resources. The deadline for abstract submissions is Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

Session Information
This session will be a platform to discuss transboundary research and management including but not limited to the following themes:

  • Conflicts in transboundary river basins.
  • Sustainability and management of water resources that cross international borders.
  • Scientific networks that facilitate cooperation to address research needs in transboundary river basins.

About PEER2PEER

PEER2PEER is an Accelnet award by the U.S. National Science Foundation (Award# 2114701). The project brings together global networks focusing on transboundary water management. Participants will synergize research initiatives, share data and tools, and foster collaboration in transboundary water security scholarship and capacity building to address gaps in research and education. The project creates an ecosystem for translating engineering, physical science, and social science research into plans and policies for stakeholders and governments at local, state, and national levels.
