Call for Abstracts: AGU Session H099 - Landscape Strategies to Support Water Capture and Recharge in Dryland Regions

Dear Colleagues,
We invite abstract submissions to our session, “H099 - Landscape Strategies to Support Water Capture and Recharge in Dryland Regions” at the upcoming AGU Fall 2025 meeting. This session aims to convene presentations across a range of disciplines (e.g. hydrology, atmospheric sciences, ecology, engineering, and beyond) to discuss insights into opportunities to capture and/or recharge water from multiple sources within dryland regions to support groundwater resilience in natural and urban environments.
We welcome contributions that explore, but are not limited to:
- Water balance estimates of dryland regions
- Estimates of urban stormwater runoff to be captured and/or recharged into groundwater
- Methods to assess suitability of regions for potential groundwater recharge
- Landscape management strategies to support groundwater recharge
