Hi all,

since we switched to "new scropt" we are not only experincing a lot of "timeouts" (that we did not have at all with the "old script") but also it seems that GoogleAdsService.Search randomly fails. Once again, it never happened with the "old script"... the "fun" part is that we have a bunch of hourly scripts and once or twice a day we have GoogleAdsService.Search failures, but not necessarily the same failure.. some times it's "A transient internal error has occurred. Retry the request" but some other times it's "The request took too long to respond."

90% of the time, it works like it used to work 100% of the time with the old script.

Franckly, I am afraid that the "new scrip" experience is no ready, a lot of Google's clients will loose a lot of money and I bet they'll be really unhappy. ==> Do you plan to reschedule the migration?

Cheers,

Hello,

This is Yasmin from the Google Ads scripts team. Please excuse us for only getting back now as your message failed to be routed to our support queue.

Thank you for providing your insights on this. To address the query you raised, it's expected that the migration will be picked up again by January, however, I'm afraid our team is unable to provide a definite timeline with regard to the migration. In the meantime, we do recommend users to manually migrate their scripts before then if they do not want them to be automatically migrated and potentially paused.

That being said, could you please confirm if you're still looking for assistance on the errors that you encountered? If yes, it would be much appreciated if you could provide the following information so we're able to further investigate this and confirm the behaviour:
  • Google Ads account ID or CID
  • Name of the script
  • Screenshot showing the issue
  • Shareable link of the spreadsheet being used. You may follow this guide under Share a file publicly.
Kindly send the requested items via `Reply privately to author` option. If the said option is not available on your end, you may send those through the email alias `googleadsscr...@google.com` instead.

Regards,
Yasmin
