I'd love to be able to get a report that had a list of all my PMax campaigns and then the total active product count next to it. Is this possible with Google Ads Script?

For example,

Campaign Name x, 35 products
Campaign Name x, 1000 products

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

Please do note that Google Ads Scripts provide a way to programmatically control your Google Ads data using simple JavaScript in a browser-based IDE. You can use scripts to automate common procedures or interact with external data—for one to many Google Ads accounts. Using the said tool, you can be able to utilize Reporting to fetch information about campaigns, ad groups, and their stats, change history for your account, and more. The reporting infrastructure is backed by the Google Ads API and uses GAQL to specify what fields, metrics, and conditions you want to set. For a sample implementation of reporting in Google Ads Scripts, you can check this link.

In order to get information on statistics aggregated at several product dimension levels, you can use the shopping_performance_view report type. If you'd like to obtain information on performance max campaigns, you can filter the field campaign.advertising_channel_type in your query to PERFORMANCE_MAX.

On that note, since your concern is more on Google Ads API reports rather than anything specific to the implementation of scripts, then I would recommend that you instead reach out to the Google Ads API Forum for further assistance as they would be better equipped to address your concern on how this can be achieved via reporting as well as the specific query you'd need to use. If you've received feedback from them on the query to use and would then need further assistance on how to implement it in Google Ads Scripts, then you can reach out to us again so that we may be able to assist you further.

Best regards,
