Hi Team,

We received an email to migrate to the new google ads scripts experience by October 31. The email is as below and we are not sure of what exactly this is and where we are using the below script. We recently did migrate to the new Google Ads API in march and are using GAQL Queries there. Is it related to that by any means? Please suggest on what we can do here.

"""

These are the most recently executed scripts in your account (215-***-**) which will need to be migrated (list below truncated at 10 scripts):

  • URL Checker - 2022-06-12
  • URL Checker

Please migrate your 1 script to the new Google Ads scripts experience.

"""

Thank you,

Poojitha

Reposting the last inquiry (https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-scripts/c/h3zMMm5JXMo) from the forum as it wasn't routed to our support queue.

Hi Poojitha,

Thank you for reaching out to us. This is Yasmin from the Google Ads Scripts team.

The email you received is a notification which should alert you that there are scripts in the account which have not been migrated yet to the new script experience version. I would recommend you migrate over to the said version because, as per this help center article, legacy scripts will be going away on October 31st, 2022.

With that said, I would like to inform you that just enabling or toggling on the new script experience button within the script editor will not automatically convert or migrate the existing script. You would need to manually move your scripts over to the new experience to ensure continued functionality. You may be able to migrate your scripts by following our migration guide. For additional references, you can refer to these links: resource mappingquery builderquery migration tool.

In the event that you would need further technical assistance, kindly provide your Google Ads account ID or CID so we can be able to check the script on our end and assist you accordingly.

Regards,
Yasmin

Hi Yasmin,

Thanks for your reply and apologies for delay in response.
Here is the Google Ads Customer ID: 863-187-2757

Note that we migrated all AWQL to GAQL's. Wondering if thats all we need to be done in the Google Ads Scripts Migration.
