Hello Peter,
Thank you for reaching out to us. James here, I’ll be assisting you with your concern.
I believe that it is no longer need to use
Urlfetchapp or to be allowlisted in order to connect your script to an external database. Instead, you just need to implement the
JDBC service within your script. The said service allows you to connect to external databases such as Google Cloud SQL MySQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases.
However, for any concerns related to the said service, I believe that it’s best if you consult this with Google Apps Scripts support team as they are more knowledgeable with the implementation and behavior of the said service. You may contact their support team by following the given instructions on this
guide as they are the primary support of this service.
Please be informed that the implementation of JDBC service is already outside of our expertise. Even though it can be used in Google Ads scripts, the said service has additional functionality that we are not familiar with.
Regards,
James
